I've been watching a lot of Walters over the past 12 months and im very impressed by him. He reminds me alot of Chris Benoit and has the look of Benoit. He has a few unique moves and is a stand out performer for ROH. He has caryed the Pure wrestling title realy well. I was not a big fan of the concept of the pure wrestling title but since walters has carried it the title it has grown on me.Im sure in the future walters is going to hold the ROH world title.

Actually Walters has pretty much effectivly killed the Pure Title. He's okay in the ring but a man can only take so many lungblowers in one match. No way he'll EVER be the ROH Champion..he's better than Jarrett though. He'd fit in good with TNA.

I think running RoH topics in the TNA folder is hilarious.

 

I also think that Walters has twice over lost his chance to get over. Shelley did his Lung Blower in his debut, and now Maven's doing it, and that's the one chance he really had. You dont sell Sports Entertainment with great wrestling, and it sucks.

As for my thoughts on him, from what I've seen he's a typical solid ROH technical wrestler but lacks that star look or charisma...

John Walters in my opinion rules. He's a great wrestler.. and hopefully overtime, people will begin to notice that and he'll be the next Benoit. The guy is phenomenal in the ring.. if only had charisma.

The quest now is.. is John Walters the next..

Danielson is definately better than Regal. I'm sorry.. I like Regal.. but Danielson is much more talented even then he was in his best days... and Regal has Charisma.. where's Danielsons?

But Danielson works almost TOO technical of a style to be the next Benoit, as Benoit emotes quite a bit while in the ring, while I've been bored with a good portion of Danielson's work (unless his opponent was somebody with in-ring charisma out the ass, like Christopher Daniels), save for the heavy amounts of psychology involved.

I don't think I've seen anyone coming up in the indys who's as consistently as intense as Benoit was/is. Lots of good technicians, lots of good hybrid workers, but nobody who really has it amped up like he does.

 

I enjoy some of Walters work, though he's a bit bland for my tastes.

Because none of the mods give a damn enough to regulate the TNA folder...

I'm not saying it needs a folder mod (do we even have those anymore?!) it just seems like the regular mods rarely visit it and move/close threads that warrant them. But it's a moot point now, since this has been moved, thanks to whoever did it.
