I don't mind the character, a revamped Skip, But they have severely Cut what he is truly capable of in the ring. I'd think that If he busted out his Nova Innovative Moveset during his matches, that it would put more depth into the character, and in fact make the character much more infuriating. Because not only is the guy talking out of his ass, but anyone trying to put a stop to him, he can wrestle at equal or above level to his competition. But he is reduced to a Punch kick, Resthold and Schoolboy with tights... Bleh as long as Mike's current gimmick is so limited, he won't find his way to my CAW lists. Nova on the other hand will be in my ECW memory card.

At least this way the BS gimmick would have something redeeming about it.

Not with McMahon stressing this "New WWE Style" of working a Match. (I.E. Slow every contest down with sleep Inducing restholds.) After all, can't make Son-In Law HHH look bad!

Once you're in WWE, you're expected to wrestle 'WWE style', regardless of whether you can work any other style, or if you can work that style better.

Who is Buddy Rose? /casual fan mode last seen in the WWF 91, famously remembered as the Executioner of Wm1 vs Tito Santana (The only WM win Tito Santana would enjoy) I don't think Buddy Rose would work with Dean's Gimmick, due to his weight issue

He's fat but pretends to be in shape. (It drew heat oddly enough) Rose was an incredible worker in his day and still works occationally today. Very Adrian Adonis like.

Digging up old fossils to toss them in with the new guy will only work if they arent squared against each other. *cough*slaughter*cough* Dean needs to actually cheat more and bust out the belt. The Simon System could in fact be a new cheat 2 win type of match... hopefully.

Fact is, they way they've introduced him, it'd be stupid to let him go all out with moves. He's supposed to be a sponsor turned wrestler, who has an amateur wrestling background. We're not supposed to know he's Nova. So having this sponsor turned wrestling busting out Spin Doctors and Novacaines wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. The gimmick alone is entertaining enough and Nova to his credit is pulling it off damn well...he doesn't need the flippy floppy style.

When I heard about Chris Candido working in OVW, hoping to get another shot in WWE, I was holding out hope that they'd run an angle with the Bodydonna and Simon Dean. I really wanted to see Simon Dean hyping a WWE Diva return of Sunny, playing the video packages of her back in the day, only to realize when she returned that she was overweight. He would try to use his Simon System to whip her back into shape and she'd ultimately get tired of it, turn face and Candido could come to her rescue. She could then cut promos about how she was the original WWE Diva and how she succeeded in the business for her beauty and her brains rather than implants. Where was everyone who downloaded photos of her when she was fighting addictions. Where is she ever credited for changing the business for women? That type of thing. I also think that Simon Dean should totally do a gimmick where he's the innovator of wrestling thanks to his Simon System. WWE's problems aren't the return of gimmicks. It's that they don't have fun with the characters. Hurricane is a super hero who hasn't had one arch nemesis. Eugene is a wrestling idiot savant who always gets outsmarted and never wins. Simon Dean's act is already thin because they've thrown the gimmick out there without any ideas as to where to take it to make people care and maintain interest.

Simon Dean harping all over the Sunny of 95, showing vid clips of her back then and all that... and the Sunny of Today does show up, maybe not so trim but still not all that bad either, and Simon, his fantasy bubble of his dream girl bursts and suddenly he just Unloads insults at her as if he was betrayed that 10 years had gone by and someone actually looks different. Which of course brings out....SKIP....and its EC DUB EC DUB...... No more like Circa 95 WWF WWF WWF and they have a big pointless feud, and then both disappear in obscurity.

And make it even more interesting have pre recorded Simon Dean Titan tron mic time against Hurricane and his new body.

He could've either feuded with Hurricane or teamed with him. He'd certainly fit better with Hurricane than Rosey. Besides, Nova invented dressing up like a super-hero.
