alfdogg Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Today, ABC San Antonio @ Miami, 1 PM ET LA Lakers @ Cleveland, 3:30 PM ET Thursday, TNT Cleveland @ Minnesota, 8 PM ET Dallas @ Phoenix, 10:30 PM ET After Thursday is All-Star weekend, which we'll give it's own thread.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I hear there's a chance Kobe may come back tonight against Cleveland, the team he originally injured himself against. They desperately need him, that's for sure.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 First time I'm seeing Sacramento this season and they look absolutely horrible. Oh, and I hate Marc Blount.
The Electrifyer Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Nice to see the Bulls spoil Kevin McHale's coaching debut.
The Czech Republic Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 That'll learn him to get rid of a guy named Flip. With wins over Dallas and Minnesota, maybe this road trip from hell won't be so bad after all.
Guest Coffey Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Both of Thursday nights games should be damn entertaining. I'm really excited for All-Star Weekend this year.
Matt Young Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Fucking fuck. I didn't even get to see my two favorite teams play each other. Oh well... There's always KG vs. Lebron on Thursday.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 How in the hell is Chris Webber racking up these triple doubles and still seemingly not having a real effect on the game? It's mind blowing.
Fökai Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1991595 Nets acquire Clifford Robinson from Golden State in exchange for two second-rounders (pick #1 is 2005 draft via Clippers in Kittles trade, pick #2 is 2007) and a $5.3 million trade exception.
alfdogg Posted February 15, 2005 Author Report Posted February 15, 2005 This thread should actually go until the 17th, not the 16th, making it the five-day version.
nogoodnick Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Damn, Jason Kidd is 3 rebounds and an assist away from a triple double halfway through the 3rd quarter. Edit: He missed out by 1 rebound.
Matt Young Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 (edited) The Clippers just lost to the Magic in Orlando, 99-94, in a pretty good game that aired on Channel 5, KTLA. 'Twas the Clips' 6th straight road loss (I believe all on the same trip) by 5 points or fewer. They only have themselves to blame, though, after missing half their foul shots in the fourth quarter. Grant Hill ended up with a season high 39 points. EDIT: Bulls lead the Kings 53-44 at the half, while the T'Wolves lead New Jersey 68-53 in the 4th. Damn, that's a low scoring game. Edited February 16, 2005 by Matt Young
The Czech Republic Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Kings lead 73-70 with about a minute in the 3rd period, but the Bulls can still pull it off, I think.
Guest Flyboy Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 And the Rockets get their 8th straight win in a row.
Matt Young Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 The Wolves beat the Nets and the Bulls are just seconds away from finishing off Sacramento. 'Tis a good night.
Precious Roy Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 That .gif in Czech's sig is awesome. And Iverson wants out of Phila.? I don't buy it.
Matt Young Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 That's what Stephen A. Smith reported, but Iverson denied the rumor at practice. Insert your chsoen AI/practice joke here.
The Czech Republic Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Iverson should go to Dallas.
Guest Flyboy Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Iverson IS likable. It's the media that's made him out not to be.
The Czech Republic Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah they put a lot of negative spin on him beating up his wife or whatever.
Precious Roy Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah they put a lot of negative spin on him beating up his wife or whatever. When the fuck did he beat up his wife? I like how you tagged that with "or whatever" to cover your ass when you pull shit out of it See, THIS is the effect of anti-Iverson brainwashing!
The Czech Republic Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah they put a lot of negative spin on him beating up his wife or whatever. When the fuck did he beat up his wife? I like how you tagged that with "or whatever" to cover your ass when you pull shit out of it See, THIS is the effect of anti-Iverson brainwashing! THere was some domestic violence involving Iverson
alfdogg Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 here Apparaently there was investigation being done over possible abuse, but Iverson's wife wouldn't cooperate. But it was 2 1/2 years ago, so let's drop it, plz
alfdogg Posted February 16, 2005 Author Report Posted February 16, 2005 Also, Golden State and Seattle play on ESPN tonight, a game I guess NBA.com didn't care enough about to let us know it was on national TV.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 If the Celtics played the way they've played this first quarter everynight for complete games then they'd be a very tough team. They're just running off of everything rather than lollygagging and going half court at times. Their running game has gotten 3 different Grizzlies players into foul trouble already with 5min left in the first.
alfdogg Posted February 17, 2005 Author Report Posted February 17, 2005 Reggie puts up 36 in a win over Portland.
