AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 The only religion you may have a case against is the blood drinking, baby killing satanists. "Satanists"/members of the Satanic Church don't worship Satan (well, at least not in the fashion people imagine). They're basically occult-studying self-righteous humanists who call themselves Satanists to give themselves yet another excuse to shoot off into a long-winded diatribe when somebody mistakenly makes accusations like that. i.e. the SatanicChurch.com website: "Members of the First Satanic Church DO NOT sacrifice animals, worship the devil, participate in orgies, molest children or infringe on the rights of others! We are an organization of individuals who openly study Satanism and other cultural subjects."
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Yes, but that's Anton LaVey's church. There are also self styled occultists who actually do worship Satan and therefore have just as much if not more right to be called satanists, who do impale cats and eviserate virgins. I also say things like that so somebody will respond like you just did and give me yet another excuse to shoot off into a long-winded diatribe like this one. Slayer 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I read Anton Levay's works a while back. I didn't dive headfirst into Satanism (as they called it, though I somewhat agree with AndyTS' sentiment), but it did help usher me away from Christianity even more than I had already drifted at the time. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Anton LaVey was an utterly pretentious charlatan. Not that the things he did and said weren't without some value, but the man was basically the Walt Disney of philosophy.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I have to wonder just what kind of person would willingly send their child to a school like this. Who in their right mind thinks that this environment is fun or educational? As to the "people only CHOOSE to go there of their own free will" argument: WRONG.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Oh please, Jingus. That's hardly the same thing. You still have the right to bring up your children how you wish. It's probably a better environment for children than a lot of public schooling anyway.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 When did you decide to become this crusading defender of the word anyway? Before that bible thread (which I avoided save for making one snide remark in the middle without reading any of it) I thought you were just a secular nutcase. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted February 18, 2005 I'm sending my kid. I hope you have enough money to pay for all the therapy he/she'll need. CronoT proves once again he has absolutely no sense of humor.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Actually I'm a defender of the innocent. Truth is, staunch atheists are the most self righteous bastards you will ever meet. They have this idea of their towering intellect, so I think it's funny to knock them down a bit, using an entirely fundamentalist point of view, just because I can. I've never actually indulged my personal beliefs here. Keeps me more mysterious.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 That's exactly why I do it! That's what everybody thinks, when atheists are actually a million times more self righteouss than them.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 My problem with this school is that they are teaching alot of untruths there and these people have to walk out into the real world with these beliefs. With their iron clad rules, I do believe that they are making better students but at the same time, I think they are also making people that are without real world knowledge and thats really sad. We do not live in a socialist society and individuality is important to ones personal growth. i worry about a child being forced to fight that natural instinct to be yourself. The girl I am with, she is paying her own way to college, and though she regrets it alot of the time, she chose to go there (although her mother did that "you don't HAVE to go there if you don't want to....but" kinda forcing that she knows she controls her with). I have no problem if this is the kind of life you want to lead. But the fact that there are students being forced to be there, being taught that this is the only true way (I mean seriously, they are being taught the catholic church is a cult and if they are not saved will go to hell) still bothers me. Jingus 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 The worst? Staunchly self-righteous Wiccans. Ya know, the type who Really Believe their magick works, BLESSED BE LOL. They'll ambush some poor unsuspecting Christian with harpy-like shrieking about how Your Ancestors Burned My Ancestors At The Stake and other crap. (There are really people out there who can do real magic, btw. But 99 out of 100 so-called witches have no power whatsoever.)
Jingus 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 And oh yeah, since nobody else has made the obligatory comment, I might as well: I've got a crisp new $20 for anyone who beats the living shit out of whoever wrote all the ridiculous rules this school enforces. Guest cosbywasmurdered Report post Posted February 18, 2005 My problem with this school is that they are teaching alot of untruths there Says you. I happen to believe A&F are wicked. Not as bad as Old Navy but still Satanic.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Oh I agree with that part. And yes, Old Navey is the evilest company in the world. I meant the part about the number one agenda of gays is to remove the age of concent so that they can have sex with 12 year old boys, and that 90% of the children that are adopted by gay homes are sexually abused. Guest cosbywasmurdered Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Well it's not their #1 agenda... jk.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted February 18, 2005 Old Navy is actually just part of a larger evil company- The Gap. Who also own the Banana Republic.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2005 One should realize the gayness of Old Navy merely from watching their commercials. (Or I might be thinking of "gheyness". I'm easily bamboozled ever since I picked up this death curse.)
