Lightning Flik Posted March 8, 2005 Author Report Posted March 8, 2005 I'm updating draft info as we speak. But in the meantime: Will Scarlet is now up to bat. Cuban Linx is in the batting circle warming up. iggymcfly is grabbing his bat. And Smell the ratings! is just hoping he gets a good hit to end the round.
Der Kommissar Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 It's nice to see that a player I have had my eye on for the past two rounds is still there. With that, the Komijul selects... Kelvim Escobar! He looks so excited to be on the team...
Lightning Flik Posted March 8, 2005 Author Report Posted March 8, 2005 Well there goes an option I had at pitching, but oh well. I've got others. At least the guy I want ain't going anywhere it appears. Cuban Linx, then iggymcfly, and finally Smell the ratings! to get this round finalized.
Cuban Linx Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Joining my outfield, Corey Patterson! iggymcfly and Smell the ratings!! up next.
iggymcfly Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Well, somebody finally took the guy I wanted right before my pick came up. That means I'm going to have to get a little risky here and take: Jose Reyes

the pinjockey Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Next three: 1 - HarleyQuinn 2 - Wart 3 - Serenity
HarleyQuinn Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Gotham Harlequins select SP Dontrelle Willis of the Florida Marlins
Lightning Flik Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Wart, pinjockey, then Lightning Flik.
Lightning Flik Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Can I just point out the fact that the All-Time Draft has only been up since March 5th, and they've completed two whole rounds in 4 days? Heck since the actual draft pick thread didn't go up till March 6th, I'm willing to be it was only 3 days. Whereas our real draft started on March 3rd (that's when HarleyQuinn made the first pick) and we've only got 3 rounds done. That's three days more, with two less teams. And yes, that's a hint to pick up the pace a little or expect the period of being able to take picks to be cut down.
the pinjockey Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Serenity selects: Zack Greinke, SP, KC Royals 4 - Lightning Flik 5 - Marvinsalunatic 6 - treble
razazteca Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Damn it you guys are stealing all of the Braves that I wanted....

the pinjockey Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 1. It isn't just three rounds as there were the 20 picks before the actual draft. 2. The other draft appears to be using the PM function more, something that will not happen here until later rounds as people won't want to give away their strategy. 3. Serpentine drafts go quicker than straight drafts as there are back to back picks and people drafting closer together. 4. The all time draft appears to have benefitted from a stretch where 4 straight people were online. That is just plain good luck. In other words. Calm down, there is still a month and problems can be addressed if we start to get close.
Lightning Flik Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Yeah. In fact, who's holding up the works THIS time? Oh wait, its flik's turn. I select Aaron Boone Stuff will be updated when I'm on break. 1. It isn't just three rounds as there were the 20 picks before the actual draft. 2. Calm down, there is still a month and problems can be addressed if we start to get close. 1) March 3rd was the actual start of the real draft. Hence, my logic is just sound. Yes, I went and checked. So no freaking excuse. 2) I've stated I don't know how many times: "Hey yo! I'm like nearly always on. If you need to, send me your picks and I'll post'em." I've only had 3 people do so. And I've only had to actually post twice. 3) And so its not serpentine. You get even MORE time to think up of picks. 4) Good luck or not, it should not be taking this long people. 5) I am calm. I said, "pick up the pace".
