Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 2, 2005 Payton is expected back in Boston tommorow night for the Celts/Lakers game. Tyson Chandler flipped the ref off while sitting on his ass after being called for a blocking foul.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 2, 2005 Glenn Robinson was waved too. Think there will be any takers for him?
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 3, 2005 everybody needs to check out the alley-oop from Pierce to Davis before the end of the half in the game vs. The Lakers. Unbelievable.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Sonics sweep the Cavs by winning 103-86. Interesting note is that the Sonics are 8-1 in their gold uniforms.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Speaking of uniforms what were those ugly powdered blue things the Lakers were wearing tonight? They're suppose to be purple and gold, not powdered blue and white.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Those were throwbacks to the Lakers' uniforms the last year they played in Minnesota. They used them in the Boston game at Staples, which I believe was the last game they won. The season's slowly slipping away, and they showed promise earlier but Frank Hamlin is no Rudy T., I'm afraid. Now I'll resign to saying they'll be lucky to make the playoffs when you can't even beat Toronto, New York, and Boston (although the Celtics are playing much better as of late). Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 3, 2005 Did anyone see the interview with Bill Laimbeer tonight on ESPN? I couldn't stay awake for it, all I saw was a clip heading into commercial with him slamming Randy Moss.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 So bostonites...I know most people hated Ainge at first, but seeing as they basically have every draft pick in the next few years and managed to get Antoine Walker back for Michael Stewart and Tom Guguliotta, which basically means he got Raef for Tony Delk...what do you think of the job he is doing now. Add in the fact that Al Jefferson is going to be the truth, and a couple of nice looking guards, Boston has a pretty respectable team.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted March 4, 2005 He had a very nice draft picking up 2 of the 3 players I wanted in the first round and surprising me with Tony Allen. Now that he's brought back my binky I'm happy with him.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2005 I have been praising Ainge from day one. I loved every move he has made so far. With obvious exception to the Blount contract. Although I admit at first I didn't think bringing back Walker was a good idea at all, I see how positive it has been for the team and I changed my mind. I didn't want to see Jefferson lose minutes, but in the long run Walker can tach the kid a thing or two and that's never a bad thing. Same goes for West/Payton now that Gary is back. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 The Blazers coaching change has clearly had a great effect, as they lose by 9 to a Jamaal Timsley & Jermaine O'Neal-less Indiana Pacers.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 5, 2005 Looks like the Lakers will avoid their first 5 game losing streak in 11 years with an enormous win tonight over Dallas. This team just frustrates me more and more. How could you lose 3 straight to Toronto, New York, and Boston, then come back home and beat Dallas? Let alone outrebound them and outshoot them? I think after the top 3 in the West, it's pretty much a jumbled mess. Tonight proves it so with the #8 team beating the #4 team at their own game (strong shooting with good rebounding). I've obviously gave up any hopes at a title and even a repeat Western Conference Finals appearance, but this satisfies me. They need to go out and get a better coach, though. MrRant 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 Sonics beat Detroit 95-87 for their 3rd win in a row and face Phoenix on Sunday, which I may try and get to since it's a home game.
