res37618 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2005 If so, how is the special features? I refuse to order it, quite honestly. I think $24.95 plus shipping is just ridiculous for that. When they get a distribution deal, we can start seeing them at a lower price. But until then, I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for it. You can buy two WWE PPV DVD's from somewhere like deepdiscountdvd.com or even WalMart for almost the same price . . . I really don't understand why TNA can't (or won't) get a DVD distribution deal . . . I can get CZW and ROH stuff at my local Best Buy or FYE (granted, neither are new shows, but they're there anyway), but can't get the second biggest wrestling fed in America. Kinda weird, don't you think? It's almost like they WANT to get ridiculous prices for TNA stuff . . . . Plus, Victory Road was a stinker of a PPV. The next 3 (Turning Point, Final Resolution, and Against All Odds) are much better. No amount of extras would save a Victory Road DVD from being bad.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2005 I'm with res. I'd actually buy the TNA PPV DVDs....hell, I'd buy all of them....but at 25 bucks a pop, PLUS shipping? Bitch, please. Inform me when they're no more than $20 at my local Best Buy. Till then, forget it.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted February 28, 2005 Well, somebody on-line sent me a DVD copy of Final Resolution. Not a bad show at all, to be honest. Yes, it's a copy of the TV show --- but the quality is pretty darned good. -=Mike

The ROH videos at FYE aren't ROH releases, they're Takedown Masters releases, and don't have all the matches on them.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2005 I bought the DVD and after a long waiting period for them to re-stock and ship it, it was well worth it. The special features show different angles of some parts of the matches, mainly Styles/Williams, the 20 man division battle royale and the end of the show including what happened after the show went off the air. Some backstage stuff includes Don and Mike's entrance, Kazarian warming up before making his entrance, and Hardy warming up as well as stuff from 3LK and Team Canada. It's really good even though the price is really high. It would have been great to have some other behind-the-scenes or stuff from Interaction the day before. Much better than WWE's bonus features
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2005 Well, somebody on-line sent me a DVD copy of Final Resolution. Not a bad show at all, to be honest. They showed this in the UK yesterday and after not having watched TNA for months, I must say I was impressed too. Is $24.95 really that much? Maybe it's just the exchange rate, but it doesn't seem an overly expensive price. I know you add shipping on to that, but it's no more expensive than buying a WWE DVD from Silvervision or an IWA:MS or CZW DVD from SMV. Certainly not extortionate. The ROH videos at FYE aren't ROH releases, they're Takedown Masters releases, and don't have all the matches on them. I realize that, but it's ROH at a reduced price. For a cheap-ass like me, that's pretty cool. As much as I like ROH, there's no way I'd pay $24.95 plus shipping for an ROH DVD, either. Luckily, they run pretty good promotions and discounts sometimes which makes it possible to get three or four shows sometimes for $50.00 or less. Again, as for Victory Road, it wasn't a good enough show to warrant almost $30. The other shows may be a different story, but there are plenty of ways to get them without paying outlandish prices. slimm44 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 To Slimm.. did the Victory Road DVD have the Free-For-All Match(es) included? which matches are you talking about? Nothing from the 30 minute pre-show is on the DVD if that's what you were talking about
