starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 ...and I got the last place orders flipped. I suck.
CanadianChris Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! DUUUUUUUUUUUUDES!!!!!!!
The Electrifyer Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Wow... what a close finish. Them dudes are lucky.
starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 Wow... what a close finish. Them dudes are lucky. Being 6'3" each probably helped.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 FUCK YEAH! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS! That was some drama!
starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 Next week looks like a clipshow...
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Next Weeks Preview of Miss Juggs looks bounceriffic.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 They entered Africa as Brothers. They walked away Gods.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 I don't want to say The Dudes became my favourite team after that, but they're pretty fucking close!
CanadianChris Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Not me...Dudes all the way. They are the most awesome team I've ever seen, except maybe Kevin and Drew.
starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 Never saw season 1, but they're still great. Every Race has a team that you can't help but like (The Cha Chas, KennyG, The Clowns, Chip and Kim, Kris and Jon) and I think these guys are it. Don't get me wrong, Romber is still my favourite, but these guys are great as well. It doesn't hurt that they're trying to have fun (and mack on the Barbies, although I'd rather do Debbie and Bianca) while racing.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 The Dudes saying a prayer for their camera man, and then pulling off the upset, was awesome. Oh, and we need some juggy pics, ASAP.
starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 Oh, and we need some juggy pics, ASAP. patience, grasshopper. They normally don't post anything until the next day...
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 BbbbbuuuuuuuuuIiiiiiwaaaaahnuuuuuummnnnnnaaaaaaaah
LaParkaMarka Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Ray and Deanna. Good riddance, Ray was such a piece of trash. At least Jonathan showed some sympathy for Victoria/random kids ("WHO WANTS CANDY???"). BoloDouche was a dick the entire way through. You have to wonder who the hell they can get to top Colin/Douche/BoloDouche. Maybe a team of Augusto Pinochet and Slobodan Milosovic. Romber not stopping = the right thing to do. Amber + straw = thumbs up. Had to wonder why Lynn and Alex didn't do the water task. Guess they enjoy pounding more than sucking. The Dudes were indeed great. I marked for the "Don't do drugs" line, and you can't help but cheer for a team that can go through the adversity that they went through and still win. Then again, I hate the old people, so there goes that theory. If Romber can't win, the Dudes are definately the team I want with that million bucks.
CanadianChris Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Next week looks like a clipshow... According to CBS.com, it's a new episode: Tuesday, April 5, 9PM ET/PT The strain of the Race takes its toll on one Team when one Racer reacts angrily to an unattractive side of her teammate. One Team member hastily chooses to do a Roadblock that involves driving a stick shift through the African bush, and he has only driven a stick once before. Will he be able to complete the task? Teams drive for miles across the African bush over rough and muddy roads. They encounter giraffes, elephants, zebras and hippos roaming freely all around them, causing everyone a little trepidation, but great excitement over their experience of wild Africa.

Then maybe I heard Phil wrong, and it's two weeks from now. He did mention a Very Special Episode where they look back...
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 I wouldn't mind a look back. So far, this has been my favorite Amazing Race yet.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Romber vs The Dudes is a feud I'd like to see carry on until the end.
starvenger Posted March 30, 2005 Author Report Posted March 30, 2005 Romber vs The Dudes is a feud I'd like to see carry on until the end. Well, it'd be better than Romber vs Lynn and Alex, who I'm trying to work in a glass house analogy for but it doesn't seem exactly right. Still, there hasn't been any real conflict between the two yet.
Hank Kingsley Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 (edited) well, then. Edited March 30, 2005 by The Superstar
MDH257 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Phil clearly said "next week on the Amazing Race", they showed clips of the show, then he said "and join us a week from tomorrow night for a special look back at this season". A new episode is on Tuesday. The clip show is on Wednesday.

art_vandelay Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Anyone else feel bad for Meredith/Gretchen after the first leg when Phil told them that it was non-elimination? The look on their faces was like, "Oh shit. Why can't you just let us off of the damn race already. Now you're going to take all our shit? Stop torturing us, you sick fucks." But it all worked out for them in the end, so good for them.

That takes real dedication, to recap a recap show.
starvenger Posted April 5, 2005 Author Report Posted April 5, 2005 Bump. Interesting footage from The Amazing Race Insider which, frankly, makes Lynn even more unlikable than before. There's also a "behind the scenes" look at what Phil and crew go through to get everything set up for the challenges and Pit Stops.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Satan's spawn? Eastcoast White Trash? Jeez. Rob and Amber aren't that bad.
