Sass Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I still can't believe the Pacifier is pulling in nearly $60 mill.
Secret Agent Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Eh, people take their kids to see crap like that. Besides, it might actually be funny.
Taker666 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Kinda hoped Hostage would of been higher. that was a damn good movie
Secret Agent Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Really? I might have to go check it out then.
bob_barron Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 With a great movie like Robots out- why would parents take their kids to the Pacifier? I mean seriously- I was hoping Robots would do 50 million. It's a great kids movie
iliketurtles Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I can't believe Hitch made 150 million dollars.
strummer Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I can't believe Hitch made 150 million dollars. I like Will Smith well enough, but I can't believe he's turned into such a big draw
bob_barron Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I can't believe Hitch made 150 million dollars. Hitch is a movie that appeals to everyone- young, old, black, white, man, women- I'm not surprised it did so well. It's pretty much been the date movie to see since it opened with all the kids flicks flooding the market.
Guest BrokenWings Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Million Dollar Baby's still chugging along, and that's great to see. Surprised Robots and Hostage didn't do better.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Million Dollar Baby's still chugging along, and that's great to see. Surprised Robots and Hostage didn't do better. Might end up surpassing Aviator. And considering the budgets and how many screens MDB's been on during it's run, that's a great feat.
the max Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Hitch was pretty funny, me and the gal went and sat with an audience of all types. Everyone had a good time, especially during Kevin James's dancing scenes.
Vyce Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I can't believe Hostage did so poorly. The reviews I saw have been decent, and it looked like a pretty good film..... Here's hoping Constantine sticks in theaters for another week or so, I still haven't seen it yet.
SuperJerk Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I can't believe Hitch made 150 million dollars. I was thinking the same thing.
Ted the Poster Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I was forced to see Robots today. I almost expected Bender to make a cameo, what with all of the recycled Futurama jokes. I just hope the studios aren't thinking that CGI films will always be instant hits no matter what. That movie, while great for kids under 12, has almost nothing for the adults who take them to enjoy IMO.
iliketurtles Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Well, I should of clarifed...it's a really good movie. I saw it a few weeks ago, and like you guys said, a very diverse audience. Really good movie. I just didn't expect it to be THAT big, though I remember seeing it being previewed before movies during the summer.
Guest Shadow Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I think the reason Hostage didnt do so well because on the premise it sounded like your standard bruce willis/standard thriller. and i saw hardly ne previews for it anyways.
