They just didn't have anyone else that could get the job done on the offensive end. It's kind of funny. People said Wake should get a 1 seed, because it wasn't their fault that they lost to NC State without Chris Paul. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 My bracket sucks ass now due to OU jobbing to Utah (which now sets up the Utah/UK matchup of doom for the 103,495 time). I should have remembered my comments on OU not being able to shoot for shit, because man was that ever true vs. Utah. In regards to Wake, big deal. This is one of the few upsets I had right in my bracket. My bro had them jobbing to Chattanooga (which was silly) but I knew given the way WVU was playing in the BE tourney they had a very real shot. I was kinda worried when Wake got up 13 at the half but Wake hasn't shown all year that they can defend people. I thought there would be a wild 111-105 type game yesterday but I figured it'd be Zona/UAB, heh. Oh and Dama, giving up on U of L beating Ga Tech?
