Who or what the hell is MOP?

Mash Out Posse....you never heard Ante Up?

Anyway I swear I heard them yelling when Cena's theme first started.

Well, I thought Smackdown was much better than usual tonight. This is the first time in a while that I can remember both Raw & SD being good.

I'm still wondering what they have planned for Booker T, if anything, at WM. This Heidenreich feud just doesn't seem to be going away. And I have no desire to see Big Show vs. Akebono, either. If it were up to me, I'd just book OJ vs. Charlie Haas vs. Booker T vs. Big Show in a 4-Way for the US Title, with Haas going over, but that won't happen anytime soon. With Show in the sumo match, I guess put Heidenreich in his place.

Give Jannetty a contract! Also give London a credible title.

...so, you want him to go to Raw and win the IC? :P

The IC is about as credible as the Women's these days. He must mean either world title.

OK, a title that is commonly defended on Smackdown (a.k.a not the CW Title).

Man I dont know but I LOVE Marty Jannetty... He made ANGLE of all people look good out.. and Angle did the same.. that was the best Smackdown TV match I've seen since probably Charlie Haas v. Kurt Angle from like 2001 or 2002.

Jannetty looked PHENOMENAL... all of this offense looked good. (he's 3/4 speed wasn't even that bad, I mean the guy is just so quick to see him slow up a tiny bit looked odd for a second, but meanwhile he was still going faster then 3/4 of the roster).

The ending ROCKED ASS... Jannetty fought that Ankle Lock with life or death, and quite honestly, the finished rocked my socks off.

The match went almost 20 minutes though.. and that means that they most definately have to do one of three thigns with the HBK/Angle feud.

1) Make the Wrestlemania 21 match 25+ minutes, with the same style of match.

2) Make the Wrestlemania 21 match 15-20 minutes, with more physical.. hard hitting offense.

3) Bring Jannetty into the mix to have him feud with Michaels or Angle.

I dont think they would of let Jannetty last that long if they didnt plan on keeping him around. I do however feel that he'd be sticking around on RAW though to be close to Shawn. Shawn is the one who definately landed Jannetty a comeback shot and now that he has succeeded, I'm pretty sure that he'll stick around HBK. He'll also probably be pushed pretty decently as well.. he looks phenomenal...

and not to mention.. he is over HUGE. The pops this guy got are insane.. and I know Smackdown is edited, but the crowd jumped to its feet when he came out and when they chanted Mar-ty, you could see it in everyones lips.... MARTY JANNETTY HAS A FUTURE!

**London v. Kidman was good, short fun. Not a bad little match.

**The main event was pretty decent, and definately fun. I'm really looking forward to Eddie/Rey. The Chavo segments for the last 3 weeks are AWESOME.

**The Christy/Angle promo being littered all over is awesome too, that thing is hilarious.

Charlie Haas didnt even debut in WWE until December 2002. This match you are refering to occured twice, once summer 2003 when Angle returned and recently this year.

There's been about 10 matches better then Marty/Angle's showdown tonight.

It was good and fun but people lay off the crack; it wasn't be match in ages like some people seem to treat it as.

What would the feeling be around here if he turned on HBK at WM, either leading to Angle flat out winning or his doing it post-match after an HBK win?

Heck, he's pretty over as a face right now. Yes I know that most of that is due to his "name" and because it's cool he's seemingly back, but he's still over regardless. How would it be to see MJ as a heel all of a sudden?

It'd be a limited deal if he turned heel; after a program with Shawn, he's dead in the water.

Best to keep him as a face JTTS.

Jannetty is a horrible horrible horrible HORRIBLE heel. Anyone ever see his "New Rocker" stuff? (flushes toilet)

Jannetty's strengths is taking an ass whooping and being a good seller. Definitely NOT the role of a heel. If they did the same match tonight with Angle as the face and Jannetty as the heel, it just wouldn't fit.

How about he just not appear on the TV for acouple of years.

Seriously, I wouldl ike his role limited, and he'd probably appreciate it also considering he's 43-45 (considering who you talk to).

If enjoying the match meant being high on crack, then give me some more, because I haven't enjoyed Smackdown this much in months.

Amen to that.

From where I sit, it was a flat out solid and exciting match. I really hate many of these new people that WWE has brought in, and I couldn't care less about them when they wrestle. Luther Reigns vs. Jindrak? Who gives a fuck?

I love those exciting moments, like when Regal/Tajiri won the straps in Japan. Those solid matches like HHH/Benoit from this past RAW. The things you never thought you'd see, like the reunion of The Rockers. And yes, those matches that come from out of nowhere to shock the hell out of you, and ends up producing some quality...like MJ/Angle.

The moment that I realized that WWE had me believing that MJ just MIGHT pull it off, I knew that I was watching something that was working. I knew MJ wasn't really going to win, but I was so caught up in the build of the match, the emotion, that I in turn became a total mark, if only for that one match.

That is one of the things that WWE doesn't do nearly enough. They don't produce enough of those moments, where they turn the "smarks", back into the mark...without them even knowing it's really happening.

Like I've said before, it's why I put up with all of the shit. Sooner or later, you'll become a mark all over again, if only for a single match.

Recently this year? I'm sorry, but if your gonna correct me, I'll do the same. Angle and Haas had their second match in 2004, not 2005.

And yes, the match I'm referring to is Haas/Angle in 2003.

Angle/Jannetty totally owned. I think that was the best SD! match sence the Last Man Standing Match. They need to sign Marty after both of his great performances on Raw and SmackDown.

The Orton/Undertaker segment was fucking awesome. well, the end anyways. the evil demonic look that only Undertaker can do best, and the lighting bolts, the intire arena going heywire due to taker's rage. that was a pretty fucking awesome site to see IMO. The Undertaker charater is no doubt the BEST charater in the WWE today bar none. Its amazing how Undertaker can be one of the most over superstars in the WWE by not saying a single word. Taker is just great in everyway.

Luther/Booker T was eh. what the hell was that Heidenreich thing about???

Paul London/Billy Kidman was a pretty good match. I didn't even noticed that Kidman was even out these past couple of weeks(or month?). anways, good match.

LOL!! at the Carlito segment. damn that guy never fails to entertain.

Lets see, Cena Looses the US title, most over superstar on SD!(next to Taker), new theme music. yep, Cena is definlly winning the WWE Championship at Mania. and I'll be looking forward to it. the 6-man match was a pretty eletric match. and the ending was pretty cool to.

Overall, wrestling wise and storyline wise. this SmackDown! was definlly a great show. actually one of the best ones this year so far. great show all aroud.

That's funny, 'cause I was thinking that 'Taker is without a doubt the worst established character in the WWE. I don't count the green guys from OVW who don't actually have a character yet. The amount of times you have to suspend your disbelief with this guy (and Kane for that matter) is just ridiculous. Every time he does something retarded like he did at the end of that segment it just makes him look comical and far too gimmicky these days. Sure, it was all fun and games during the cartoon era of the WWF, but now it just comes across as incredibly cheap, boring and stupid.

Taker's over because the marks respond to the fact he hardly ever loses, no sells everything and has "supernatural powers" when he wants/remembers to. The guy is living on his legacy, which at this point in time I just cannot understand, and I only hope I won't have to put up with him killing off every one of his opponents in bland, brawl filled, glorified squashes for too much longer. Basically, IMO 'Taker sucks in every way imaginable.

eh, I knew someone was going to respond negitivly towards my Undertaker comment sence he isn't the most popular around here but I don't mind. everyone has different opinions on the guy, some hate him, so don't. I happen to be a huge fan of the guy and have been sence I started watching wrestling back in 97(even during the biker days). I enjoy his matches. his matches with Heidenreich was actually better than I thought they be. and even his matches with JBL were pretty good. and yes, I even enjoy the supernatural antics he does sometime. you have to sit back and just have fun watching. Its part of his gimick and its just mindless fun. the crowd seems to love it, and I enjoy it to. one of the reasons why I love the Taker charater. its something completly different from anything else in the WWE and I happen to enjoy the whole Gothic aspec. its just....Cool. and he definlly has the best entrance and theme song in all of WWE aswell.

Undertaker would bug the shit out of me if I actually bothered to watch Smackdown more than twice a year. But since I'm not tired of him by virtue of never watching his show, I'd prefer that he beats Randy Orton at Wrestlemania, because shit, he's Randy Orton. I don't have to explain this

Well, it seems like Taker's made about 4 appearances on SD in the last year, counting the 2 in the recent weeks. :P

Loved the Carlito segment. Taker should break Randy's arm so that he might start being entertaining again.

Jannetty vs. Angle, despite Jannetty being far from in his prime, was surprisingly good and easily the best match I've seen on SD in a loooong time.

Yeah.. and it's pretty bad when you are carried by HEIDENREICH! lol...

No seriously, the matches with Heidenreich were not good at all.... and the matches with JBL were watchable, simply because JBL is a GOD.

I like the Heidenreich gimmick. There's no rhyme or reason to it, he's just a crazy person. Though, as always the WWE is afraid to take it to another level. He still gets a good amount of heat for a guy that loses all the time and reads bad poetry.

Also, I liked the Carlito segment, especially the wooden acting of that random patron, "Hey, that's a kid." SD! always has the best lines, just like this gem from SD a week or so ago.

Kurt Angle: Blah blah blah, I'm an Olympic Gold Medalist

Guy in Crowd: Big Deal!

I don't think it's worth quoting the the whole posts, so I'll just chime in as a fresh one ... RE: The Undertaker.

My biggest beef with his gimmick is how everyone is scared shitless of "the deadman". He's been doing it for 10+ years, the element of surprise should be gone. Why do people still get all freaked that he can make the lights go out, or fog rise up out of nowhere, etc.? It's not new at all anymore, and should be expected. It's one thing when he does the "Undertaker sit-up" because (in kayfabe) each heel probably thinks that they've done more damage to him than anyone in the past, so they might be surprised when their best can't keep him down. But the other tomfoolery? Fuck no, they shouldn't be surprised and/or scared.

They should be scared cause Kane has similar powers and once lit a production man ON FIRE!

Also, Taker's powers should mess with the UPN feed too. Have the picture start scrolling up and down or black out or something maybe have a UPN technical difficulties screen for a few seconds.
