Guest HeadDropMark Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Very interesting, thanks for posting that.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I didn't notice Big Show was such a big loser at Wrestlemania. Ditto for Kurt Angle (I don't count losses where the person isn't part of the decision, so hiw WM 2000 losses are argumental).
Dimensions 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Hey, how about Piper's match with Goldust? At WM12 I believe...
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I don't think that was actually "Sanctioned" as a match, since no winner was declared, and there was no bell or referee.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Wow The Big Show should stick to The Survivor Series....
Aero 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 A nice read to pass a few minutes. Just one nitpick: You forgot Bradshaw's loss at WM 13 as part of the New Blackjacks.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 EDGE is the next Undertaker! Only 9 more wins at Wrestlemania to go.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Weird...just think, the WWE Champion's only win at Wrestlemania was against...Right to Censor. Lol. And it's not looking good for him this year either. And yea, Big Show really is a loser at WM isn't he? And this year he won't even get a real match.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Kinda weird to think that Bradshaw had not yet evolved into JBL as recently as WMXX. It seems like JBL has been around forever. Maybe that's an extension of the whole "Longest champion in 10 years" gimmick they're starting with him.

Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Technically Eddie and Rey aren't in a match yet, which is why he probably didn't do them. Also Muhammad Hassan, even though everyone knows he'll have a match, it's just not been confirmed who.

Slickster 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Also, Kurt Angle only lost one match at WM2000, not two; it was a two-fall match, not two consecutive matches.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Also, Kurt Angle only lost one match at WM2000, not two; it was a two-fall match, not two consecutive matches. WWE counts it as two losses
Slickster 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Where?
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 In the Wrestlemania XX program they had Angle at 2-3 and counted losing both falls as two losses. They had Benoit and Jericho as 1-
Dark Age 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 London/Chavo isn't confirmed, is it?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 OK, edited the first post with the Blackjacks match at Mania 13 and, since WWE recognizes it as a match on their Mania history page, Piper vs. Goldust at Mania XII. Oh, and Shadow...those matches aren't confirmed yet by WWE, so that's why I didn't put those participants. If/when they are announced, I will put them up. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Oh, and as for Big Show having such a losing record at Mania...well, yeah, he's no Andre the Giant. For the hell of hit, here was Andre's Mania record: ANDRE THE GIANT RECORD: 2-3-1 WrestleMania: Defeats Big John Studd in a $15,000 Slam Match WrestleMania 2: Wins a 20-Man Battle Royal WrestleMania III: Loses to Hulk Hogan in a WWF Championship Match WrestleMania IV: Goes to a double disqualification with Hulk Hogan in a WWF Championship Tournament Match WrestleMania V: Loses to Jake "The Snake" Roberts by disqualification WrestleMania VI: Teaming with Haku, loses the Tag Team Championship to Demolition So yeah, Big Show needs some wins for his Mania record. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 At what point did 'Taker being undefeated at WM become a thing? Like, Edge is undefeated at WM, but I doubt anybody's really taken notice.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 At what point did 'Taker being undefeated at WM become a thing? Like, Edge is undefeated at WM, but I doubt anybody's really taken notice. I'm thinking somewhere between the Bundy match and the first Kane match. EDIT: Plus, Edge has been out the last 2 WrestleManias, so no one got to notice that. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 If HHH's wins/losses happen to form any sort of pattern, he'll win. LWWLWLWWL... Win? Then Loss next year? Hogan's the only one to come near Taker's record. No big shock there. Edge's streak possibly might be noticed now that Taker's is being mentioned so much. I could see him winning at WM unless they feel the need to de-push him over the Lita incident, but may feel it'd be better in the long term not to.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Hogan's the only one to come near Taker's record. No big shock there. However, he's not close to the amount of Mania's Taker's been in. Counting this one, this will be Taker's 13th WrestleMania Beating out Bret Hart's record of 12. However, Bret's were all consecutive.
reign 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Sounds to me that the better match might be Edge versus UT(maybe next year)...then they could make it an even bigger deal...have UT beat Orton if he needs to but keep it within an eyelash and make beating Taker at Mania a main event next year.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Undertaker main eventing mania? are you trying to kill the company for good? Undertaker isn't likely even working Mania next year according to meltz and 13-0 is the perfect record to go out on.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 At what point did 'Taker being undefeated at WM become a thing? Either against Diesel at XII or against Sid at XIII. It was definitely being talked about by XIII.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I've always wondered what Undertaker would have done those years he missed out on. WMX? Continuation of the Yoko fued im sure, but for the title? doubt it. weird to think that if he hadn't had those lingering back problems at the time, would that have taken away that classic ppv's aura meaning likely there wouldnt have Bret/Owen and then Bret/Yoko. I would guess they push the Luger/Yoko match @ Rumble with Luger winning the title via heelish ways and do Bret Vs Luger and Taker Vs Yoko. leaving owen out of the picture and losing a classic match. WM2000? I'm guessing the Big Show as that he was out of place in that main event and they had a little deal going there before he left and TBS was still credible at the time unlike @ WMXIX when they did face each other in the handicap match. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Well...at WrestleMania X...I could see them have Crush destroy Savage on either Superstars or Raw, causing that match to be cancelled...but then Undertaker is chosen as Savage's replacement for the match. 2000...hmm...Big Show could have worked, I guess.
Guest Shadow Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Crush/Taker would have worked considering Taker was feuding with Yoko and Fuji and Crush was in that camp. and Crush fits the HOSS mold of taker's history @ Mania Snuka, Roberts, HHH, Flair and Orton being the exceptions.
