I think that might be his father. I think I heard that his old man was popular once....dont know if hes as hairy though...

Remember, this list is skewed towards Madison Square Gardens main eventers. Backlund was heavyweight champion from 1978 to 1983. This was before VKM bought out his father and took things national, so the WW(W)F ran shows at the Garden a LOT more often back then.

Randy Orton's placement on this list is a complete and utter joke.

 

I'd also like to know where Meltz's sudden flip flop on Backlund came from. You couldn't even get Meltz to admit there was anything positive about Backlund a few years ago and now he's a huge star? Ok......

Meltzer didn't pick the spots on the list. Look at the description. It was all done by mathematical formula, which happened to throw Mr. Backlund right to the top of the chart.
