1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Technically, Axl has only had this incarnation of the band together since the year 2000. And they've been minus Buckethead since about a year ago.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Is that recorded from the Eddie Trunk show a couple years back? I'm surprised it took so long for anything to turn up. Sounds like it may be a cool song. Can't really decide anything from that though.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Is there any proof that this is real? There are a lot of fake GNR tracks online.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Yeah the word is someone got it from the Trunk show and Trunk confirmed that it "sounded like the song he heard." If you remember correctly, the GNR security Nazis were in there like gangbusters getting the CD he received back.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 It sounds kind of like Eric Bischoff's theme.
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2005 It sounds like someone recorded this with a computer microphone while the song was playing from speakers. Either way, I know someone who has contact with the source of this "leak" and says we should have the full song in a few days. A few people who heard it play on the Eddie Trunk show in 2003 have said this is the same song. Lyrics I've made out so far: Gonna call the president Gonna call that private eye Gonna get the IRS Gonna leave the FBI There's not anymore that I can do All the legions they tell me I'll follow you So when you plead the fifth That'll be the end of time plus two Wouldn't be the first time I've been gone Wouldn't be the last I sure have known All the... UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2005 Well, considering that you can barely hear "Axl" at all, this thing could be easily faked, and I think it is fake.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2005 Either way, I know someone who has contact with the source of this "leak" and says we should have the full song in a few days. Being that this is the closest thing anyone has heard to any of the hundreds of studio recordings this band has made, I am understandably excited.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 I just got sent a 43 second clip of a different part of the song by my friend. The quality is a little bit better, but still really bad. I don't know if there's anywhere to download it since all the GNR sites are taking links down. If anyone really wants it I guess I can send it by e-mail or something. It's a little weird that we go 2 years or whatever without hearing anything of this song, then exactly one week after the first clip went around there was a second clip that seems to be from a different recording. Why does everything GNR related have to be so crazy?

jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2005 Here it is http://rapidshare.de/files/1184489/irs2.mp3.html This clip sounds a lot different than the other one did. The first clip sounded more your typical rock song, this one makes it seem a little more out there. I have no idea what goes on in between these 2 clips. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Guns N' Roses New Material Leaked It appear that a new Guns N' Roses track from their ridiculously long awaited new album ‘Chinese DemocracyEhas been leaked online, sparking rumours that the record may be released in the near future. The new song entitled IRS was first played on New York radio station 102.7 WNEW by rock DJ Eddie Trunk last August, but since they stopped it being played there has been no word of any release or new album material from the Guns N' Roses management. Now however, a version of the track has surfaced online on numerous Guns N' Roses fansites and messageboards. The song includes the chorus Gonna call the President, Gonna call myself a Private eye, Gonna need the IRS, Gonna get the FBIEand sounds not dissimilar to vintage GNR (albeit slightly less sleazy) despite the fact that singer Axl W. Rose is the only original member left in the band's (ever changing) line up. The leak and rumoured emergence of other new tracks Madagascar and The Blues have all sparked rumours that the new GNR album ‘Chinese Democracy will get a release sometime in the near future, with some reports claiming that the album will finally hit stores in November this year. Rose Ea near recluse - has been working on the new record for over seven years and the record has reportedly cost $13 million to make so far. The album has been recorded by Rose and an undefined collection of musicians and producers, including Dizzy Reed (keyboards, programming), Robin Finck (lead guitar), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Brian BrainEMantia (drums), Chris Pitman (keyboardist, special effects) and recently departed lead guitarist Buckethead. So what's been officially confirmed? Nothing. But while we're here, here's a rumoured tracklist for the album: 1. 'Chinese Democracy' 2. 'This I Love' 3. 'I.R.S.' 4. 'Thyme' 5. 'Substitute' 6. 'The General' 7. 'Seven' 8. 'Madagascar' 9. 'Ides Of March' 10. 'Catcher In The Rye' 11. 'Leave Me Alone' 12. 'The Blues' 13. 'Closing In On You' 14. 'There Was A Time (TWAT)'
