haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 I suffered through a re-run of the premiere, Saturday night, and this is one of the worst shows I've ever seen. The idea is this jackass that hosts the show tries to find ways to get things like makeovers, remodeling, etc. done for free. The show really dragged and (if they're not trying to make it seem this way), seemed very fake and set-up. I give it 6 episodes tops before its cancelled. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 It says right after the show that some scenes may have been re-enacted. I thought it looked a little fake.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 I find Con to be a better show than all of the reality practical joke shows that MTV produces. Thats right Con is a better show than Viva La Bam, Punk'd, Boiling Point, and whatever else is on the network.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 I'll put it over Viva La Bam cause that's the most obviously staged show on tv
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Viva La Bam and Pimp My Ride are my TV guilty pleasures. I tend to brush off the obvious staged-ness of the former before watching.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Sorry, I missed the part at the end about scenes being re-enacted. I give up on the show before the ending credits.

AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Who gives a shit about Viva La Bam being staged? It's a TV show, what do you expect? He still fucks his parents' shit up and makes Don Vito's life hell whenever possible, so it's realistic in that sense. If we had as much money as him we'd all be actin' like dumbfucks too, ha. strummer 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 The thing that gives Viva la Bam away is that Phil and Ape can't act to save their lives. Ape is a terrible actress and isn't believable in the slightest when she is supposedly "mad" at Vito. Bam and his crew are pretty good actors, but they can't make up for Phil and Ape's horrid performances. And I don't know for sure, but Bam and Jen must have broke up for the 6799885558 time as she was not with him during the tour of Europe. They've probably already made up since that was filmed though. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 12, 2005 I don't know, she seemed pretty pissed off at him at the wedding anniversary thing that Vito screwed up by throwing spaghetti all over the place. Don Vito rocks. The best part is, they're all Bam's family. Why hire paid actors when you can just get your friends together and pretend like everything is real? H.I.M. sucks, though. Modern Man's Hustle 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 I remember laughing hysterically at Viva La Bam the other night, when Bam was laughing in April's face with his friends, then all of a sudden he leans back and snaps his fingers and they all stopped laughing and walked away. It was so fucking absurd that it was goddamned hilarious. OMG.Greatest.Avatar.Ever. Me? Why thank you.
