BUTT 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Wow, 6 scheduled matches. Nothing wrong with that. Each match can get 20 minutes!
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Quality over Quantity Wrestlemania IV had 16 matches and they all either sucked or were barely good enough to be considered good T.V. matches.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Just the most important stuff HHH is going to win the belt back, but not clean Edge is going to beat benoit in the last man standing match Benjamin will beat Jericho Hogan/HBK will lose, get mad at each other and lead to a match at whatever the next PPV is. If it wasn't for the fact that I really just dont care about any of this, those 4 matches should be good enough to make the PPV decent, but not worth $35 to me anyway.. Guest Shadow Report post Posted May 1, 2005 This could be the definition of a "wait and see if i want the dvd" show. It has 3 appealing matches, a match that could be great nostalgic feel and a crummy match that wont take long and has the possibility of a crowd shitting on lita. Sadly the DVD will edit out the likely Lita is a Slut based chants. WWE should test out the crowd with lita before the show. during heat (off tv) they should show a promo of her and see if they instantly go into negative mode. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted May 1, 2005 EDIT: (including intros, post-match, recaps) Batista/Triple H can easily eat up 30-35 minutes. Edge/Benoit can be 20-25 minutes Jericho/Benjamin can be 15-20 minutes Hogan/HBK v. Hassan/Davari can be 15 minutes Tag Turmoil around 20 minutes Kane/Viscera... maybe 10 including entrances and recaps.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 So is this the OAO thread? Christian is going to make an impact tonight on the PPV, so says he.

natey2k4 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Benoit will lose, because it wont hurt him due to the arm injury.. at least I think. Hopefully Christian comes out, and screws Batista (not to cause him to lose the title though)... or he faces Flair..
BUTT 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Wow, 6 scheduled matches. Nothing wrong with that. Each match can get 20 minutes! Each match will NOT get 20 minutes. It was a joke. I was trying to get everyone here excited about the prospect of 20 minutes each of Kane-Viscera and the Hogan match.
ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Venis lost to Tomko in the Heat match, which was much better than one would think considering the participants. Dave Meltzer said "Venis did a good job here," and I totally agree. He got the crowd really into it and it was a very decent 5 minute match. Jason

RedJed 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Holy shit, Jericho-Benjamin was one of better IC title matches I've seen in a LONG time (we're talking YEARS) - plus they almost got 20:00 - for sure this will have to be MOTN. At least **** with a ton of great nearfalls and a finishing series which was off the hook with Benjamin winning. To see this opening a WWE ppv was well worth the show so far......they really tore it down for an opener.

RedJed 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 F'n Resistance just beat Regal/Tajiri, ugh - this match makes me feel like I'm watching Heat - Hurricane/Rosie v. Resistance now for tag titles - WTF
LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Hurricane's taking some sick bumps, first one to the floor and then a backdrop lift into a sideslam. Not to mention doing that blockbuster.
LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Hurricane/Rosey def. La Resistance for the titles.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2005 Ya know, if they had more decent tag teams in WWE, the fact that they gave Hurricane and Rosey the tag belts would be much cooler. I suppose this is payback for having HHH make ya look like shit in the wrong kind of handicap match. Finish was good and yeah, Hurricane was bumpin all over the place.
