CBright7831 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 Well, when people cared about tag wrestling, the heel team would make a "clap!" sound by clapping their hands together, simulating a "tag" noise that the referee would hear. Why not just tag your partner in, instead of doing the clap while the ref's back is turned? Is it that hard to tag someone? How does the guy who does the theme music know EXACTLY when a wrestler is coming out to the ring? (i.e. this week when Hogan came out to save HBK) How come wrestlers always try to beat Hogan down when he is hulking up? Why not kick him in the balls or get out of the ring or something? When someone runs in, why do they always go for an irish whip sooner or later? I know if I wanted to beat the hell out of a guy I wouldn't let him get away. Why wasn't Kane arrested for murdering the Undertaker. Well, on that note, Taker is also a murderer. I'll think of more later.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 I remember one time Bradshaw and Raven were having a Hardcore Title match on Heat, and Bradshaw pulled a fucking canoe out from underneath the ring. I wondered how that got there. My theory is that, when there's a Hardcore style match set up, ring techs are told to put extra items under the ring before the show. Here's another question...how is it that wrestlers know EXACTLY when to come out from under the ring? but a KAYAK?! Not even Vince McMahon would say "hey, guys, when you are putting that ring up, throw a kayak under there, I want to see the look on Raven's face! Can't put THAT in a shopping cart MOTHERFUCKER!" Sadly, actually, I CAN see Vince saying that. Plus, there's also the theory that wrestlers in Hardcore matches, before the show, put those things under the ring themselves. Think Al Snow's bowling ball.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 The "wrestlers put them under there" theory just sounds odd. What ring crew member would let someone do that? Are they all on break when they do it? Does the Undertaker turn out all the lights for a few minutes so they can sneak them out there? *Taker lowers his hands* Taker: Everybody...GO! Raven: WOOO! KAYAK! Snow: BOOOOOOOWL! HHH: *Hhhonk*

The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 What an oddly kayfabed theory. The wrestlers know who is going to win, so they decide to bring out weaponry just to add to the display. "Hey man, I know I'm going to win tonight, but do you mind if I hit you in the face with this kayak?" "Well sure, only if I can throw this bowling ball into your crotch!" humongous2002 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 Why does the WWE continue to push (Insert unover wrestler's name here) down our throats all the time, when it's obvious that the fans wouldn't give two shits about him/her?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 were Hall and Nash ever arrested for commiting attempted motor vehicular homicide on the Steiner Brothers ON CAMERA? Why is it that we always know what people are plotting because they discuss it on camera, but the people that are about to get fucked by the plot never have a clue...I think this recent deal with Batista is about the only time I've ever seen this sequence done correctly...I mean, we all KNEW what HHH was up to, but he didn't make it obvious by being in front of a camera while plotting... speaking of attempted murder, was Steve Austin ever punished for dropping HHH off a forklift while he was in car? how about the numerous vehicle involved incidents...so many damn murder attempts... Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 I was just watching the royal rumble 04 dvd and big show got put in the walls and the crossface and tapped out both times, my q is why would a wrestler tap out if its not a way to end the match?
Just John 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 In hopes that by tapping the wrestler applying the hold will have gotten what they wanted (showing they can beat him, humiliation, etc) and will release the hold.

I would also call it force of habit. "Instinct" as it were. The wrestler is conditioned to think PAIN + TAPPING OUT = NO MORE PAIN and thus, it's just an automatic thing. MY Problem comes in how someone like Rock can be put in the Crossface, and not tap right away, but if Rock was to put it on Benoit, Benoit would tap instantly...unless the storyline involves Benoit "knowing his hold SO WELL that he can escape". Same thing for Kurt Angle and a good 75% of the people he's feuded with.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 Black Lushus, The Steiner Brothers decided to not involve the authorities and "settle things in the ring", as explained on WCW TV. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Oh gotcha, Usethesledge...I'll give you credit for one thing, you know your WCW... TheLastBoyscout, what is your deal, dude? We all understand wrestling isn't real, we get that...all we're doing is discussing the absurdity of some of these angles, just like we discussed the absurdity of the FU being a damaging move in that other thread...rather than purposely being an asshole, why don't you add to the subject in a non-negative manner... Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted April 26, 2005 My deal is that pedantic "The WWE is so stupid LOLZ" shit is painful to read. It's like Marvel comics in the 60's: they made mistakes all the time and the people who wrote in to correct it were nowhere near as petty and mean spirited as these posts. Taker666 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Sometimes I wonder when Eddie takes an object from ring side to do his "Lie,Cheat,Steal" Antics, assuming the camera follows him and shows him on the titantron, how can his opponent or the referee not just look up or glance at the titantron to see what Eddie is up to. I mean those giant TVs arn't hard to notice.

I think during the # 1 contenders series in Febuary with Eddie and Booker, that Book actually saw him sneak up on him via titantron and was able to roll up Guerrero for the victory. Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 How does the guy who does the theme music know EXACTLY when a wrestler is coming out to the ring? (i.e. this week when Hogan came out to save HBK) Because the wrestlers tell the guy who does the music before they go out to the ring that they will run in, so he knows... How come Bradshaw went from a beer drinking no good sum bitch to a rich mofo JBL and how come JBL suddenly was so good he could beat anybody and he became the WWE Champion. Why was Bradshaw jobbing at WM in a Tag Match and he WON THE WWE TITLE MONTHS LATER??! It makes no sense Why did the Hardcore Champion show up on the shows when the 24/7 rule was used. Why didn't they just go to Africa or something. Why do the fans chant USA when Chris Jericho is fighting with Hassan...
