News on HeartThrobs, Gangrel, Stevie, and more

I really don't see what the problem with this is. He wants more money because he has been on television, which should lead to greater exposure, leading to more people showing up for the show. Makes sense to me.

You seriously don't see the problem?

The guy was booked for months in advance. Once that happens, even if you become a "TV star" between the time you are booked and the show, you shouldn't ask for more money. Had he been a "TV star" before he was booked, and nothing was decided on, then and only then should he use the excuse that he's now on WWE TV to get more money.

Don't get me wrong, I'd tell him to fuck off too, but what I'm saying is that he is in a much better position now due to appearing on TV as a part of the biggest promotion in the game. It should equal more money. I don't know what he makes in the WWE, but I'd bet that some Indy gig isn't going to touch it, and it makes no sense to risk getting hurt in the Indies just after getting called up to the bigtime when it's for chump change.

Hoping for a Stevie Richards push is like hoping Santa Claus will give you $100,000,000. Richard has a history of injury problems, which is 1 reason why he'll never see a push again, and he's not "homegrown" talent.

Has Richards ever seen a push in the wwe anyway? Unless you count managaing RTC or being Victoria's man-bitch as a push I guess.....

Stevie Night Heat?

Well it was certainly a push, but does it really count when only 2 or 3 people actually saw it?

There is a lot of heat on Romeo Roselli of the Heartthrobs at the moment. There is a feeling among several that I spoke to that Roselli may be getting a little too much of an big head, which has led to him getting the cold shoulder backstage. Roselli recently attempted to get more money out of an independent promotion, Northeast Wrestling, with less than 24 hours before their show last Saturday in Bristol, CT. According to several, Roselli requested more money after being booked for several months because he was a TV star now. One source told me Roselli did so after being instructed to do it by his parents, which is laughable and sad if that is the case. Roselli also voiced complaints about the chances of getting injured the night before he was scheduled to debut on PPV. Now, while that is a valid concern, a number of wrestlers took that to be insulting to the veterans he was scheduled to work with, Mick Foley and Jerry Lawler. He looked doubly bad since Jonathan Coachman also worked the show sick (see below). Roselli was eventually replaced by King Kong Bundy at the indy date, and the real irony is that the show was run by promoter Mike O’Brien, who gave him his first indy dates when he was breaking in. The running joke I’ve heard is that Roselli was lucky he isn’t on the Smackdown roster where he would have to deal with the likes of JBL and Undertaker. There are a few people who wondered if William Regal and Tajiri may have worked snug with the Heartthrobs on the Sunday Night Heat taping this week to send a message to Roselli, as Antonio ended up with a black eye.

As noted above, Jonathan Coachman has been suffering from either a bad eye infection or broken blood vessels in his eye. He was said to be in so much pain last wekeend that he hasn’t been able to drive. Since Coachman worked the NEW indy show and took a bunch of bumps for Mick Foley, Roselli looked even worse to many of the wrestlers as here was a non-wrestler gutting through pain and Roselli didn't work a show he was booked for months to appear on.

Gangrel is signed to a WWE deal and has been down in Ohio Valley Wrestling training for his comeback to television. I’ve heard from one source he’s been signed for some time, but had been injured, which is why we haven’t seen him.

Steve Richards is also down in OVW training to return from his broken nose suffered at the hands of Chris Masters during Masters’ Raw debut.

So basically Roselli is the new Buff Bagwell?

The only push that I would count was the RTC angle. Sure, it was just a rip on the FCC or whoever it is that gives television networks a hard time, but every week on RAW and Smackdown, he was on, and usually the RTC were going over people more often than not.

And Stevie had that other 'push' last year in that match with Timko at Unforgiven which killed the crowd for the night, anyone remember that one- Richards was wearing a dress.....

Is it just me or would anyone else totally mark out if Stevie broke returned out of nowhere and broke the Masterlock as his comeback and retribution?

What was the deal with that cross-dressing angle? Stevie came out ina wig and dress during Victoria's matches for weeks, got his ass kicked by Tomko at Unforgiven, then it was like none of it ever happened.

He's no Matt Hardy or Jamie Noble

yeah but hes more entertaining them overall.

man, I'am excitied about the return of Gangrel. he was actually one of my favorites back in the attitude era. one of the best entrance and theme song EVER!, had a wicked cool look and was a pretty decent wrestler. great move by the WWE.

You're insane if you think Gangrel is more entertaining than Matt Hardy or James Gibson.

I don't think he's more entertaining than those two, but he's a decent worker with an interesting gimmick, and I think he's a lot more suited for the midcard than most of the guys they've brought up from OVW, who are either still too green or are just plain boring workers saddled with shitty gimmicks.

I THINK he was supposed to be stalking Victoria, but as usual with the undercard, the writers lost interest in the storyline about two weeks in.

As for his loss to Tomko, I don't know that it was anything other than they had time to fill at Unforgiven, and needed someone to put Tomko over. But Tomko is one of the worst workers in the company so an extended squash against Stevie really, really didn't do anything for anyone.

The best part of that was JR and Lawler trying to sell it like they had no idea who it was when pretty much the entire crowd was chanting Stevie's name.

I'm all for Gangrel coming back, but I don't want him on Raw he'd just end up lost on Heat. If anything I think Gangrel would be better on Smackdown and have more of a chance for Smackdown tv time, than he would being on Raw.

I'd rather have him on Heat and Velocity, since I can watch those for some good meaningless matches, and have 2 minute recaps of 15 minute borefests. Also on those shows, you don't have to worry about horrible promos and angles taking up 90% of the show. Plus, every match ends clean 99% of the time.

So by signing Grangel to work Heat will they "promote" Val Venis to Raw tag matches? Hm.....Grangel & Val Venis would be a decent jobber tag team.

This is one of those cases where "Wrestler Court" actually seems to be the best way to handle this problem.
