Of course it is - it's a rotating wheel of CSI:X, Without A Trace and Cold Case repeats. NBC does the same thing with the three Law and Order shows on Saturdays...

Joan got replaced by a show that's a direct rip-off of Medium.

They ignored a 7,000 signature petition, and a massive write-in campaign from devoted loyal fans.

The show ended on this big cliffhanger that's never going to be resolved. I already miss it. :-(

"I think talking to ghosts may skew younger than talking to God."

- CBS chairman Leslie Moonves

Whether of not "Joan of Arcadia" deserved to be renewed, the quote above illustrates a complete disconnect between the entertainment industry and mainstream America on matters of faith and spirtuality. It's appalling.

I nominate Bob Barron to be TSM's offical TV reporter.

Dude knows everything.

I visit the futoncritic and mediaweek everyday. What can say, I'm addicted.

CBS is making ridicilous profits on everything right now that adding two hours of original programming wouldn't hurt its bottom line at all.

Wait a minute. REPEATS? If I want to watch repeats I'll wait for the DVD releases. Dumbasses.

Whether you liked Joan of Arcadia or not (and I did), you've got to think being cancelled for fucking repeats is a bullshit move.

CBS is getting way too cocky. Last season, they cancelled the Guardian even though that show was doing well. They did the same thing to do the District too.

I think CBS' reign will end in about 3-4 years when CSI and Without a Trace start showing their age, and people in general start getting tired of procedurals.

It was cancelled so CBS could directly ripoff Medium, but with Jennifer Love Hewitt and celebrate as they attempt to lose the tag that CBS is for old people.

What I'm saying is that they have two hours of TV of just reruns and since they are making so much money, and Joan has a very loyal and devoted fan base, why not give it another season and see what they can come up with.

The world does not need CSI 10000 times a week

The world doesn't need CSI three times a week, let alone with repeats every other week.

I think that's evident with CSI:NY. CSI:NY did well, but I don't think it did as well as CBS hoped, and the buzz started to wear off on it pretty quickly.

I had no idea if the District was doing well or not. Now that I know it was and was still cancelled last year my hatred of CBS has grown.

I don't know if it was a ratings hit or anything but it did just fine.

CBS decided that a CSI rerun was cheaper then new programming. Assholes

Who cares if they show reruns on Saturday, Saturday has been a dead tv zone for a long time.

It doesn't have to be, if networks try some stuff on there.

And when a show I love gets cancelled in favour of some shit JLH show when there's two hours of TV available- I care.

When the District was on 10pm Saturday I made sure to always catch it, or at least tape it. Now CBS can fuck itself.

FOX renewed Malcolm, American Dad, and Arrested Development, so I'm satisfied.

I get the feeling they keep renewing Bernie Mac simply because they don't want to be accused of catering only to the white demographic.

They're also keeping Bernie Mac I think because they've fucked with that show so many times.

And yea- this is Malcom's last year probably

So it looks like they're going with the no-repeat gimmick for AD and 24?

Wednesday has AI results show vs Lost. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see AI bumped to 8pm...

Given the playoffs and all, I don't see how Fox is squeezing out 22 episodes of AD till January.

The producers have even recognized its the last year.

It's a shame because I was looking forward to Malcolm at college. He visited one a season and a half ago, and then they never spoke of it again.

I guess UPN has given up on Thursdays?

In their minds, they've decided to revitalize their line-up as a whole.

Friday nights used to belong to Star Trek and a rerun of some sort, while Smackdown hit its plateau a long time ago. You can't place comedies on Friday night because ABC and NBC has that market cornered.

So in theory it makes sense to throw some comedies out on Thursday that will garner much the same ratings as Smackdown, and then move Smackdown to Friday, which will garner the same ratings most likely.

Actually, if anything, the ratings may just rise. Little kids are stuck at home on Friday nights with parents who don't care if they television until late.

It's funny that Smackdown got bumped for random UPN comedies. They probably won't match Smackdown's ratings, because the people that still watch are loyal enough to watch Smackdown over everything else. I doubt many are so loyal to UPN's comedies.
