cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I'm also thinking that somehow Sharmell will beat Angle next week, and it won't really matter since Angle will go to Raw the next week anyway. The only way this will end is in SOME kind of humiliation for Kurt, we all know this. The main problem with the lottery stuff is that it by definition kills feuds and developments. Everything is in placeholder mode until everyone switches shows. That said SMDN this week was an easy pick over that putrid Raw, which seemingly had no wrestling aside from the main event during the last hour.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 MNM are looking more and more like veterans everyday. Besides one sloppy Northern Lights suplex by Mercury, they were pretty damn smooth in that ring. Kudos to MNM and Haas Holl for that match. I hate Holly, but I'll give him credit... he's over, and he's a good person to get the hot tag to. Great tag team wrestler. Great to see both teams get some good air time. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 Since I get WWOR (UPN's New York station), Smackdown is preempted for a Yankees game. Wow WWOR shows Yanks games now? when I lived there Mets games were on that channel. Last time I visted they preempted a SD for a giants football game. seems like that upn affiliate prempts a lot more than the LA one.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I demand to see Angle/Rey for the WWE title. Indeed!
Guest SoZe Report post Posted May 27, 2005 I haven't watched SD for awhile, but the Eddie-Rey angle has really been intruiging. I tuned in last night, and good lord Eddie Guerrero is a fucking star. It just can't be denied. As a babyface, he had gotten somewhat lost in the shuffle. I feared he wouldn't take to playing a viscious, fully fledged heel, but damn, I was wrong. He's commited to making this work, and I'll be damned, he's actually getting the fans to boo him. The angle with Rey is so strong right now, I'll be tuning in to watch SD just to see this thing play out.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2005 Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kurt/Sharmell takes place at the 9:00 spot, ending when Angle gets into some sort of posistion where he let's Shamell pin him (more than likely a 69 spot) because he wants to just be close to her. Then he'll get on the mic laughing about the entire thing, saying that he wanted a chance to get a piece of that skank ass before he was possibly traded off to RAW. Sharmell wont be totally disguested about it, which will lead to tension between Booker/Shamell after Kurt is gone. You just wait and see.
The C Man 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2005 I call Angle going to RAW in the trade, joining Bischoff's anti-ECW group, going to One Night Stand, and being choked out to a monster reaction from Tazz.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2005 For what purpose? It's 1 thing to have Bischoff choked out by Tazz, but having Angle do it would be ridiculous since he's still an active performer. I'm sure it'd get a big pop, but then you would have also had 1 of Raw's newest top guys (according to your scenario) being made to look bad by an announcer. Angle-plex 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2005 Well actually, after Angle loses to Sharmell next week, I'd consider being choked out by a short, fat announcer a step up, but your point is still valid.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2005 Look, if Angle shows up at that ECW PPV it is implied that SOMEONE is going to kill his ass. Taz (with 1 z, the cool Taz) is very, very different than the amiable announcer. I think even new viewers have some sort of knowledge that Taz is harsh. The entire point to sending these Raw chumps to the ECW show is so they get their asses kicked. I'm not saying they can't get any sort of offense but by the end of the riotous fight they have to be left laying. Trust me, there are ways to do this. Angle can kill a bunch of ECW guys with the anklelock and suplexes, and then finally Taz has enough and maims his ass with a Katahijime. Angle keeps his heat for stomping 5 guys or so, Taz gets the insane pop for punking Angle.
