Guest Ding Chavez Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Laugh if you want. Have you ever been tasered? For that matter, have you ever been shocked by a wall socket? I have, and the voltage for a wall socket is only 110 volts for standard American sockets. In Europe, it's 220. So, that woman got hit, twice, with something that was almost 500 times more powerful than a wall socket. Cops as a whole are getting far more stupid and more aggressive when it comes to dealing with people. They think that just because it's "Less than Lethal" force, that makes it okay to hit her with it, twice. If you hit a person with a pacemaker with a taser, guess what? You just killed him, you dumbass cop. The only time that cop should have hit her with a taser shot would have been if she was resisting with "less than lethal" force, such as a knife, or a blunt object. I hope that cop gets his ass sued off.
Guest Smues Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Holy mother of fuck that woman was annoying. A baby crys less annoyingly than that. I wish they'd shot in the head and shut her up.

Guest Smues Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I'm watching the other videos at the bottom of that page right now, including where she's pulled over. What a FUCKING CUNT. Dear god. If she gets one penny from a lawsuit this world is more fucked than I thought.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 3, 2005 She won't. The sheriff acted exactly according to procedure. This isn't going to be Rodney King II, folks. Shit like this happens ALL the time here in South Florida. People are fucking retarded.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 It seems excessive, but he warned her like 5 times. So it's her own fault.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 If tasering people for not listening is fine and dandy if shooting cops for getting on your nerves is cool too.
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Way over the top. This should fall under the over-reaction thread (from the cop).
Silence 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 The woman was probably annoying as hell (I don't really give a shit about checking out the video), but what the hell's with so many cops tasering people these days? I've read maybe 3 or 4 stories about that this year on other forums.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I'm all for cops tasering people as long as they warn 'em first. And he did. I think it's a good weapon for cops to have, more effective than a beating with a baton. And with less damage done to the victim. maybe the voltage should be less. i've only been shocked with a taser once, and it hurt like fuck, but then again I was like 12. And i'm sure the voltage was WAY less than what they are shocking people with now.

I have <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why am I not surprised this has happened to you? Fucking idiot. Shame you didn't let it kill you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I stuck my finger in a wall socket, once, when I was around 8 or 9 years old. Little kids do stupid things, including me. I don't give a fuck how "annoying" a person is, you deal with it, not tasering the fuck out of people on a whim.
Guest Fook Report post Posted June 3, 2005 He kept telling her to get out of the car or he'd tase her and she just kept yakking away on her fucking cell phone. Maybe 50000 volts is a bit excessive, but I can't fault the procedure. As a citizen, she's expected to listen to the police and comply with their orders. She didn't, after repeated warnings, so she got tased.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I think she got what she deserved. I don't know how taser's work cuz i've never used one on somebody, but maybe he could have just gave her a little warning buzz. But he verbally warned her 5 TIMES. she didn't listen. it's own fuckin fault for being stupid. Plus this wasn't a routine stop, they knew this bitch. They knew they were gonna arrest her for the suspended liscence. So they expected a hassle from her. I don't think they should have to put up with that shit. So it's not like "Oh you didn't use you turn signal"....TASER It was like "Step outta the car cuz we gonna arrest you!" .... person doesn't listen, you have to get them under control somehow. Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 She was being dangerous with her cell phone use? It was a fucking cell phone. Blah blah blah, she was on her phone. So what. Its not like she was talking about the Lost season finale. She was explaining the situation to someone and telling them she was being arrested. Best course of action? No. Was it putting the officer at danger or posing a potential threat in anyway? No.
{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 How do you know she wasn't calling somebody with a gun? Cops can't know who is being called so they keep that possibility from happening. And really, people need to read up on how a taser actually works. EDIT: She also did swing at the cop trying to take her cell phone away.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 Who said anything about her being dangerous? I think a better course of action would have been, force her to put the phone down, and grab her arm and force her out of the vehicle. But who's to say once the officer puts her hands on her she wouldn't try to mace him, or fight back in some other way. She wasn't trying to explain the situation, she was giving the other person play-by-play. The conversation should have been over before the officer got to the car. But it wasn't so her asked her repeatedly to put the phone down. I agree that he pulled out the taser too quick, but once he did, he put the ball in her court. If she wants to ignore his multiple warnings, then she's gonna get shocked. EDIT: I didn't see him trying to take the phone away, and she was on the phone giving the person exact directions where she was pulled over at. I think it could have been a dangerous situation. She got what she deserved.

And really, people need to read up on how a taser actually works. EDIT: She also did swing at the cop trying to take her cell phone away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They said she swung on the cop, but that is pretty much physically impossible if you watch the video. He hit her in the left forearm with the probe, so if she was swinging at the cop on the passneger side of the car while holding the phone with her right hand....I think you see the point here. She was obviously still sitting upright when she was hit. And the officer was standing there for the whole damn call. If she said "bring your gun" then okay, but she made what sounded like the equivilant of calling a lawyer (telling the officers name, telling the situation, and giving a play by play of the situation.) Plus she was charged with resisting arrest without violence, dispite their report(swinging at a officer counts as violence) meaning that part is pretty was either a: untrue or b: not provable
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I just thought it was funny she was screaming "ya'll is racist!" I think people will use that excuse for anything nowadays. And I think the cop in the car was black that just set there and watched it all happened and then backed the other cop up.

Crimson Platypus 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 The bottom line is that she broke the law. She was speeding, and someone in this thread said she had a suspended license? Sorry, you break the law you lose your rights as a citizen. She got tasered? Boo fucking hoo. Don't drive on a suspended license, and for fucks sake why are you speeding when your license is suspended?? To top it all off the idiot then ignores the cop and makes a cell phone call. I say she got what she deserved.
