MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 If SA loses, Duncans gonna take the heat for missing 3 of 4 fts down the stretch.. But.. SA has the ball with 17 seconds and the chance to win..

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 man i know everybody wants a close game but dammit i'm a pistons fan, i want them to pull away way before that. toooo nervous here. If the SPurs lose here, Duncan will catch so much shit. He has missed a TON of critical shots, including like 5 FTs in the fourth.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Holy shit, Horry's dunk was nuts. Looks like he wrecked his shoulder, though.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Hey, this is a pretty close game here. I'm likin' it, shame I missed most of it because I was at work. Let's watch Duncan choke again here.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Robert "Will Smith on stilts" Horry did a hell of a job there. He's an essential roleplayer in each and every single one of the Spurs' win. Wouldn't have been necessary without Duncan fucking up left and right, though.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 i'm still in shock. how could they be so inept to leave robert horry, mr clutch and literally the only guy who had anything going for the spurs, wide open? aaaah!

Just John 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 I think we'll be seeing this one on ESPN Classic some day. Robert Horry was off the charts. That game made up for every horrible moment in Games 1 through 4. That was the most excited I was for the finish of a playoff game this year since T-Mac's Game 2 winner in Dallas. Probably because I like Robert Horry a lot (ex-Rocket).
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 The little series that wasn't competitive suddenly is. God damn that game was awesome. Hopefully the Pistons force an ultra-competitive game 7.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 He'll never get it, but Big Shot Bob = MVP at this juncture. Think about it. Ginobili, Parker, and Duncan. Where were they the last quarter and overtime? Nowhere. Horry turned it on at that time and never looked back. Had he not come through, we'd all be looking at how much Duncan buckled down the stretch. Heartbreaking game to watch, but I sense there will be no Pistons repeat. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 its even worse because Duncan was just choking left and right. i've mentioned it three times nwo but i still cant believe 'sheed ran away from horry like that, he may have cost pistons the championship right there. everybody in the universe knew that if horry had the slightest amount of space he was gonna take the 3 (and make it). Just John 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 This loss was devastating for Detroit. They better muster all the "championship poise" they have for Game 6, or they'll be on the ass end of an ass kicking like in Games 1 and 2.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 Rasheed is always saying someone's gotta come and take his belt. Well I think Horry just nailed Sheed with a chair and got his belt.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 I thought to myself when it was 96-95 or whatever before the final three that they'd better keep at least one person on Horry at all costs, since the usual players were quiet in the end. Horry decided the Pistons weren't getting any soup tonight and might have won the series for San Antonio with them heading back home. Funnily, I thought that the Pistons would surely win because they seemed way more relaxed than the Pistons in the late 4th and Overtime. They were smiling and talking and stuff, and the Spurs were all looking like, well, you'd expect a team to look at that juncture of such a tightly contested game. Adam 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 its even worse because Duncan was just choking left and right. i've mentioned it three times nwo but i still cant believe 'sheed ran away from horry like that, he may have cost pistons the championship right there. everybody in the universe knew that if horry had the slightest amount of space he was gonna take the 3 (and make it). It was made even worse where I was by the fact that me and both my friends called that Horry was going to take the shot in the timeout. We all said earlier in the game that he was going to make a clutch 3 to win the game. Amazing finish, worst D I have ever seen by Detroit on that particular play cost them the game. WHY WOULDN'T YOU GUARD HORRY????
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2005 DA observations... Horry really, really, really saved the pressure off of Duncan's ass tonight. The media would've crucified Duncan if the Spurs would've lost tonight. I will say that in the big picture though, Horry is the game's greatest oppurtunist. Even he will tell you that he wouldn't be so successful if it weren't for the Pistons D having to worry about Duncan AND Ginobili AND Parker. He'll always take advantage of the smallest oppurtunities and make them huge. Hamilton looks to be getting frustrated again by Bowen and Co. A lot of Rip's offense tonight looked forced and not free flowing like games 3 & 4. I'd have to watch the game again to see what Bowen and the Spurs did differently, but there definitely were a few adjustments made in regards to Mr. Hamilton. Rasheed did not show up offensively tonight. If the Pistons are to pull out a game 6 win, he's going to have to get more aggressive offensively and try to get Duncan in foul trouble. Tim was starting a massive choke job in the fourth and OT. He was mentally out of it in Game 4. With the Spurs pulling this win out of their ass tonight, I think Duncan will not let up again in this series and will resemble more of the PF from games 1 & 2. I wonder how hurt Ginobili's knee might really be or if he just hasn't figured out the Pistons adjustment to how they play him yet? Games 3 & 4 had the Pistons McDyess and Hunter play extremely well off the bench. Tonight had Robert Horry, nuff said. Who will be the bench hero in game 6 (and/or 7)
