Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 Yeah, I realized I was wrong earlier about Torrie's Contract wrestlers in the ECW storyline not long after I posted. Here are all the main storylines, of course you only get three of these per season, with the Legends Tour usually dependant on whether the chosen wrestler has a role in another storyline. RAW - Legends Tour - Uneasy Allies - A Very Special Story - Road to Wrestlemania SD - Legends Tour - Torrie's Contract - Urning Your Spot - Road to Wrestlemania As far as I can tell, A Very Special Story/Urning Your Spot don't have an effect on Road to Wrestlemania. The Champion outcome at the Rumble probably lies in your choices during Uneasy Allies/Torrie's Contract, for sure in the case of Torrie's Contract. To get Triple H as Champion, it's probably dependent on siding with Shelton. Likewise, to get Batista as Champ, go against Shelton. As previously mentioned, to get the SD ECW storyline, side with Cena. To get Cena as Champion, side with RVD. The difference between the two Legend storylines is a minor one, but I'm guessing it's dependant on which brand you choose. It could be completely random, but I haven't tested that. MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) On the Raw side, I only get the Uneasy Allies storyline w/ the SD invasion. Haven't played all the way through it though. The Raw season mode isn't a fun as Smackdown's because you always get your ass kicked by HHH at various points of the season and you're mostly a face, too. BTW, does anyone else find it hilarious when if you finish a quick match, someone like Michael Cole still says "What a match!" as if it actually went back and forth? Also, sometimes even after I've done a long match, Cole thinks the match ended too soon. Luckily on PSP, there's only commentary for the skits during Season Mode. However, I'm really getting tired of hearing "CRUSH crush KILL kill DESTROY!!!" every 10 minutes. And thank you atomsk for the info. I'll definitely go back to a SD storyline to get to the ECW storyline. Shame Rhino isn't in the game. Edited January 2, 2006 by MillenniumMan831
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 then I guess the only storylines I have got yet are uneasy allies and urning your spot. I tried to start a sd season as Booker to see if I could get the urn one, but I got stuck with torries contract followed by legends tour AGAIN. and in the cutscenes is it necessary to have all the wrestlers you can play as say the same things? couldnt they at least added some of their own lines or personality to them? RVD did great voiceovers. I especially liked his first appearance in the Torrie angle. He reminded me of the old cocky ECW RVD. and his alibi was that he was backstage working out and reading some comics lol Cenas and JBLS sounded pretty good too. But Bookers are a bit off I think

Plus during a FYF match Tazz and Cole treat it like its a Five Star classic or something.

I got Legends, then Urning Your Spot and right now I am on Time to Rumble (I just got the game last week).
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 I did Uneasy Allies, then A Very Special Story, Time to Rumble/Road to Wrestlemania with the Austin GM thing. Now I'm on SD doing the Torrie's Contract thing. I wish I read this thread earlier, as I wanted to do the ECW storyline but I chose to side with RVD just because I hate Cena. MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Yeah, the less said about the SoD remix, the better. That said, I still have a sigh of relief every time that track comes on. I just noticed (only had the game for less than a week) that you can do pseudo-War Games matches in the Elimination Chamber. 3-on-3 and you can manipulate the order of entry. Of course, it goes until one team is vanquished instead of 1st submission, but I like the elimination rules better anyway. Sorry if that was brought up already but damned if I'm thumbing through almost 50 pages.

I havent had a chance yet, but do you still have the option this year to have a "captin" of a team in the Eliminaton chamber? That makes it pretty interesting if you can just pin the captin to win the match

Guest Prodigy Report post Posted January 5, 2006 http://www.cheatsforplaystation2.com/sdvr2k6/formulas.htm The above link has an awesome Daniels and Samoa Joe, but you need "hacks" to properly copy the tights. It's worth it though for the face and body formulas.
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 I tweaked with the Samoa Joe from caw.ws (the one that was linked to earlier in the thread) and got surprisingly nice results.

Yeah, its hilarious but only seems to happen during season cut-scenes and not during actual gameplay- which would be even more funny.

I selected Kurt Angle and went through the season mode, only to come up ECW-less. If you select anyone who's involved in a major storyline (Urning Your Spot, which Kurt Angle is involved in as he's one of The Undertaker's victims after you have a Submission match with him) , you won't be able to get the ECW storyline. Edit: Then again, I used Eddie to get the ECW storyline the first time, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

There's no reason why you shouldn't have gotten it. Did you choose to accuse RVD when asked AND give Cena the win in the Special Ref Match?

Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 I just unlocked JYD and had a match with him and Orton for the Intercontinental strap. It was the most amazing moment in video game history when i reversed Orton with the THUMP~! and pinned him for the 1-2-3. and i'm Hogan in season.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 I get torn on this game because one minute I love it, I'm having fun... then the next, something cheap happens that makes me dislike this game. I mean, I'm not great, but there were moments in season mode that I played on Normal difficulty that seemed unreasonable. On the other hand, I had a few unexpected matches that I would add to the Greatest Video Game Wrestling Matches thread if I had the energy to go back and find it. While I was doing my season as Orlando Jordan, I had to do the submission match against Kurt Angle during Urning Your Spot. I had like a 25 minute classic. It was back and forth, Kurt was juiced... OJ dominated, but match was getting late, he started to fade (plus he doesn't really have too many submissions). Angle snaps in a hold which OJ reverses for the victory. I don't remember full details as much now, seeing it was a couple weeks ago now... but I marked out at the end. Great drama, fun victory... though I would've been ticked had the decision gone the other way.
AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 I've had 2 classic submission matches so far. A 25 minute classic againt Flair and a 35 minute, full out, nothing left in the tank match againt Benoit. I won both matches by using their own finishers againt them. I was using my CAW by the way for both matches
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2006 What difficulty are you guys using? I have it on normal and I'll get reversed occasionally and get some frustration, not classics. But I figure if I put it on hard then I'll get my ass kicked.

Da Maintenance Man 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2006 I played on Legend & those submission matches are brutal. And not in a good way. I was going through season mode one time with Jericho & faced Benoit in one. Match lasted a ridiculous 40 minutes. I had his torso completely in the red & he just wouldn't tap out and I was mashing those buttons like a madman. Yukes needs to come up with a new submission system for the next game. Blisters = not fun.
