This week, and leading to LTP.

My plan:

 

This week. Cut a promo that winds up with Zack/Drek face to face. I really don't want to go too much more into detail, but suffice to say, it's further build until we finally go at it.

 

What I was thinking was that Dan Black and Zack can again get hostile towards one another, with Black trying to use this budding revolution to his favor, and try to oust Zack from the company. Black, showing his business side from his GM days, will try to "cut a deal" with Drek and the GPX leading up to License To Pin, and this will rub Tony and even CWM the wrong way. Black assures them he knows what he's doing.

 

LTP. Streetfight. Zack Malibu and Dan Black. I want to make it epic, and just plain brutal, so Eski if you're down, let's get our writing shoes on. At the climax of the match Drek and the GPX, or even just GPX (sent by Drek no doubt) run out and jump Zack, working him over and putting Black on top for the pin. Black wins, everyone's shocked...and then GPX/Drek/whoever annihilate him as well, and we're both left bloody messes. Black gets revealed as a sucker, it gives Black T more of a reason to go after Upstarts moreso than Zack and co., and puts the Upstart group over as disrepectful killer heels. The vibe for the attack is that they've had us killing each other for so long, and they got easy pickings.

I had planned on having "previously recorded" comments from my character talking about the GAB (Stone and Co. cost him the World Title) and how he's got two guys who love a good fight. Enter Dan and CWM. I'm not sure if that would screw up any plans, I would think not since it'd help with the whole Brannigan/CWM being rubbed the wrong way when Dan cuts a deal, but if it does let me know so I can change it.

 

What about the GM situation? Have you figured that out yet? Because I was thinking we could have Watts announce at the start of LTP that a new GM will be named that Thursday. Something along these lines...

Bill, a lot of rumors have been circulating online concerning General Manager Joise Baker. What can you tell us, if anything about these rumors?

That's right, Jim, there have been a lot of rumors and I can tell you there is truth to them. Fans who have watched OAOAST programming over the last couple of months have seen the company go from law and order to a state of lawlessness. The Board called an emergency session last night, which Joise Baker was asked to attended but chose not to even though it dealt directly with her, and it concluded with a vote of no confidence in Ms. Baker. Therefore, effective 12 a.m. last night Ms. Baker was removed from her duties as General Manager. It was a decision that had been brewing for months now. We appreciate Ms. Baker's hard work but we decided it was time to make a change. As I said, this decision had been coming for months now. Ms. Baker knew the Board was going to hold a vote on her and she knew we had begun interviewing candidates for the position. Well I can tell you that we have found a replacement. This person has experience in management and the pitch this person gave to the Board blew us all away. The contract is being finalized as we speak and the new General Manager was be introduced this Thursday night.

You doing a speech regarding Drek/GPX wouldn't interfere. Like you said, it'll add to the dynamic when Black supposedly strikes a deal.

Would anyone mind if I did that PK/Drek and GPX confrontation I proposed this week? I just want to feel like I wrote something that could lead to something else instead of just writing a match to write a match (like I'm doing against Cuban Wall). It could set up a future Drek/PK match down the road.

I've decided to not do the Cuban Wall match this week. I just don't feel like it would really mean anything. Besides, I can use that Drek segment as kind of a tease that PK could possibly be one of Rodez's partners. I'd rather do a match against someone worthwhile instead of one of PRL's job boys.

How about it? Would make sense if the Upstarts WANT to use SJ... (and he being drunk with power and totally oblivious) Storyline-wise, it could work (if anyway here remembers all the papers I signed before I was booted as commissioner ala Foley!)

Cal's gonna be the GM. Your deal should be that the company (corporate AND The Originals) have shunned you for two long. You getting back in a position of power goes against a lot of the old stories.

EDIT: Just a thought...it'd make sense for Cal to show up before LTP. I'm assuming that PKs still got the Ultimate X, with me involved somehow or not, so it'd make sense for Cal to announce it as one of his first big acts, to make a big impact as GM.

When's Cal becoming GM then? We've had this on tap for a couple of months now but we kinda need him in soon (or rather, you do, I'm not getting involved straight off).

 

Right now it looks like the HD after LTP. We could axe Josie this or next week and have Watts take over GM duties until the new GM is named at LTP or the first HD after the PPV. I think it would be best to hold off on Calvin's return until he's introduced as the new GM. With the ECW boom of sorts, have the announcers speculate as to who the new GM is, with Coach or Caboose saying they think "the OAOAST is about to be taken to the extreme." Tease Heyman, Teddy Long, etc.

Indeed. It's my take that we should use some of the bits Drek used against me in our promo (how I "favored HeldDOWN~!", killed IZ, etc.) to get it off the ground. You can say that this time, it won't be a match, it can't be a match, it needs to be a bloodbath, plain and simple, and you want a streetfight.

I'd like to do a little thing with PK and Zack which puts him solidly on the Originals side. Something like he agrees with what Zack said last week about respecting tradition and that he wants to roll with guys like those. Doesn't have to be this week, but if you want PK to pick a side sooner than later, that would be how I'd like to do it.
