Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Please tell me hes not coming to the wwe like THIS.. is it any wonder he got laughed at!
Dangerous A Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 That is the pic from his OVW debut where WWE Creative insisted (yes WWE Creative insisted as said in last week's Observer) that Boogeyman debut with antlers on his head. Antlers or no antlers, this is going to tank badly. Did you all know he has one 15 second squash match under his belt? Cornette and everyone in OVW said he's not even ready to do AN OVW TV MATCH YET!!! Do you know how bad that is? In this week's Observer, it's said Vince loves him because, and brace yourselves for this, HE REMINDS HIM OF ZEUS!!!!!!!! Isn't reminding you of Zeus supposed to be a red flag to NOT have a guy brought up? Further evidence Vince has completely lost his mind.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted July 24, 2005 Author Report Posted July 24, 2005 wow.. i await his debut with open arms =\
Guest kylegavin Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 it's not even that....its the fact that marty wright is 41 if reports are too be believed. they give the guy one of the ultimate wrestlecrap gimicks and he hasn't even got time to recover from this. (in sayin that, who knows how this comes off...)
death_by_burrito Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Wow, just....wow. How they are going to go about this, I have no clue. So what wins the Wrestlecrap Gooker award this year, Boogieman or Diva Search 2k5?
Downhome Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 He's going to start a stable called...The Boogiemen. It will be comprised of various workers who can't get on TV otherwise, and will all look like different mutants and monsters.
Guest MikeSC Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 This is being done to avoid a possible lawsuit over what Corny did. I don't see him lasting any length of time.
cabbageboy Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 I'm not sure how bringing Boogeyman up would exactly avoid a lawsuit though. If anything bringing this jobber up to the main roster for the world to see will make the OVW kid's lawsuit look better...the whole world will get to laugh at how bad this gimmick is.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 He has a cult-like following in OVW.
Guest Nylon_golfish Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Am I seriously getting this right.. he's 40 odd, toothless and wears horns on his head?! Saviour of WWE come on down... *hysterical laughter*
cabbageboy Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 If they play off the inherent foolishness of this gimmick it could be quite hilarious, kinda like how ECW would have done it. I mean hell Amish Roadkill got over there due to being a silly gimmick that was treated as such. If they actually seriously try to push him and have people be afraid of him....he's gonna suck horribly.
Team Angle Pusher Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 I already started a thread about this idiot a long time ago. If you wanna talk about him then do it here: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...pic=71785&st=60
Cheech Tremendous Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 This is being done to avoid a possible lawsuit over what Corny did. I don't see him lasting any length of time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What are you talking about? This guy was getting called up before the Cornette incident.
Guest JMA Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 This guy looks like the mentally retarded love-child of Papa Shango and Mantaur. Seriously, that's not an exaggeration. Maybe he can hang out with Eugene...
Team Angle Pusher Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Everybody with somewhat of a new/weird gimmick is immediately being attached to Eugene
Lord of The Curry Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Maybe we've got it all wrong and he's The Boogie Man and we're getting a Disco Inferno 2005 gimmick.
BorneAgain Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 is he black or white <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's black... I thought the picture made that obvious.
Darthtiki Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Mordecai 2K5
Guest TheGreatWesuke Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Honestly... outside of say the goofy name I don't mind it at all. It's weird that 10 years ago I was complaining about stupid gimmicks, and now all I want is for wrestlers to have SOMETHING that differs them from looking like every other guy on the roster. That's what has made the big names just that, they had something that made them stand out. It's worth a shot.
The Decemberists Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Well if an undead zombie with magic powers can get over and stay over for 15 years I guess this guy's got a chance...
Gert T Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 The WWE is right in the Boogeyman vignettes, they do know my deepest fears. Great antlers.
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 His entrance is going to be awesome. The lights go out. The crowd is silent. The anticipation is palpable. Did I mention how quiet the crowd is? Then he storms out, his antlers at full mast and glinting as flashbulbs go off, then his music hits-- "Boogie oogie woogie oogie dancing shoes..." This gimmick screams money, but is Vince listening?
evilhomer Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Maybe we've got it all wrong and he's The Boogie Man and we're getting a Disco Inferno 2005 gimmick. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was thinking the same thing. Have him come out doing the Saturday Night Fever dance and cut a promo saying how the guy who wrote his vignettes misunderstood him. That or he's The Booger Man and he'll turn out to be Bastion Booger's half brother. Hell, Vince must be on crack to think that this gimmick will fly, intentionally treating it like comedy allows some slight hope. He reminds Vince of Zeus Uhhh right, nevermind... ** pens "2005 Gooker Winner" sign to take to next show **
Danville_Wrestling Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 His entrance is going to be awesome. The lights go out. The crowd is silent. The anticipation is palpable. Did I mention how quiet the crowd is? Then he storms out, his antlers at full mast and glinting as flashbulbs go off, then his music hits-- "Boogie oogie woogie oogie dancing shoes..." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That just caused me to spit my lemonade all over the floor in uncontrollable laughing. Bravo. Seriously, though, the fact that Vince is so big on this guy b/c he reminds him of Zeus is enough to send shivers up my spine.
AndrewTS Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 His entrance is going to be awesome. The lights go out. The crowd is silent. The anticipation is palpable. Did I mention how quiet the crowd is? Then he storms out, his antlers at full mast and glinting as flashbulbs go off, then his music hits-- "Boogie oogie woogie oogie dancing shoes..." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First feud? 3 nameless Divas become the Powerpuff Girls, all grown up, to battle him.
cabbageboy Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 The Boogeyman has the potential to be a cult favorite. I mean what the hell, let's just harken back to 1992 when you give a guy a stupid gimmick. I'd rather see guys with stupid gimmicks that are at least hilarious rather than see a bunch of bland, boring guys with no talent going under their real names.
