He's also the good kind of black, not the Jesse Jackson kind of black.

Gogo, you do know that Jesse Jackson has much more documented and insidious racism than fucking Geraldine Ferraro, you stupid dick.

I think it has more to do with his voice sounding like The Rock's than being black. If he sounded like Mike Tyson, there's no way in hell he's doing this well.

LOL. It does doesnt it.

If he was a white guy, he wouldn't be as successful as he has been. This is just the case, is it not?

It's kind of hard to say. Generally highly intelligent people who go to Ivy League colleges and Harvard Law tend to do okay in life. I would say he would have done just fine if he was white. Unfortunately, I don't have a magical hypothetical-race-changing crystal ball.

Can you imagine him being as successful as he has been if he were white? I really cannot picture it at all, and I lack the same ball as you do.

haha you lack ball

Um, anyway. Yes, I could see a charismatic 40-something Ivy League educated white lawyer mounting a successful bid for president.

The right kind of black?

It doesn't matter if Jesse Jackson is racist or not, that doesn't make Ferraro's comment okay. two wrongs don't make a right. Oh, yeah, and.....

Ferraro made racist comments on John Gibson

Interesting that Geraldine Ferraro first made her racist comments on wingnut John Gibson's show February 27, 2008. So this wasn't an off-the-cuff statement. You know she's been pulling this card when talking to donors.

Ferraro also rants against Rosa DeLauro -- that she only endorsed Obama because he was black (like her constituents). What's scary is that Gibson was actually a voice of reason to the crazy Ferraro who, in a moment of self-awareness, says, "I'm like a lunatic about this stuff." Yes, she is.

So, according to geraldine, any black politican who runs is only doing so because of his race, and anyone that supports that politican is doing so purely because they're black? You know, because no one can think for themselves.

True, but you're still being a little evasive. As successful as he has been. Take the entire Obama Movement and all its trappings, ceteris parabus, and make him a white guy. Does Chris Matthews still get leg thrills? Do Jessica Alba and Ryan Phillippe stare into a camera and chant "Bob Olsen" to a rap beat? Does he take 90% of the black vote? Does Hillary Clinton face the same ridicule she faces now? I don't think he'd be as dominant in this campaign as a white man.

The "good" kind of black? Say what now?

I was kind of getting at "not Jesse Jackson."

It might even have been easier if he were white. At least then he wouldn't have had to deal with the Muslim accusations.

Yeah, having bullshit accusations that anyone can easily write off, in addition to allowing any criticism to be tied into "yeah and I bet you think he's a Muslim, too," has really been kicking his campaign's ass. Maybe he could've won a month ago instead of a month from now had it not been for that crippling Muslim accusation. You worthless stroke.

I follow Politics, so when I first saw Obama at the convention in 2004 i was positive he was gonna run for President. Obama has the support of EVERY Demographic.

Ive seen Black folks who could give a damn about Politics go out and register just to vote for Obama. If he was white i definitely couldnt see that happening

Haha, I just noticed the headline of that article about Ferraro from that California newspaper

Geraldine Ferraro lets her emotions do the talking

Typical of those cunts.

I agree that him being black has played a part in him getting to where he is. However, him being white would have played a role in getting him to this point if he was a white man. If he was white, the campaign would have been different; everything would have been different. He probably would have had a lot more comparisons to JFK. That lady was right, but you probably should be smart and not say shit like that when you are in the public eye.

Some people still believe Kerry faked his war record. You even got a bunch of guys on sixty minutes claiming 'Obama was a Muslim' and 'he didn't know the national anthem' because 'that's what they;ve been told'.

And if it's such a useless accusation, why does Hillary insist on using it as a political weapon, in a bid to turn uneducated voters against him?

Why does she use it? It sure as hell hasn't done her any fucking good.

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," Geraldine Ferraro told The Daily Breeze of Torrance, Calif., in an interview published last Friday. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

Geraldine Ferraro. In poor taste, but hardly false.

That's right! A charismatic but relatively inexperience WHITE first-term Senator could never mount a serious campaign for the White House.

WHY, IT'S COMPLETELY UNHEARD OF!!!!!

edwards_convention_5.jpg

"Hi, have we met?"

Okay...maybe she means that because Obama's the front runner, and no WHITE MAN with only FOUR YEARS of major political experience can be a front runner.

"Hello, my name is Mitt. Pleased to meet you."

In other news...YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS.

If Obama were everything but half-black, John Edwards is exactly who he would've been: puppy-eyed support from the progressives and the youtube kids, but his ass would've been sent home long ago. Neither Edwards campaign was EVER close to the magnitude of the Obama movement.

Y2Jerk with another evasive response to the quotation.

Obama is going to win, learn to love it, because it's the only thing going.

Even if Hillary manages to win Pennsylvania in a landslide, six weeks from now, is that even going to make a difference? I'm too tired and moderately intoxicated to figure that out right now.

No, not really. If she wins by a 50 point margin, maybe, but that's unlikely.

I think it's obvious that Obama is going to win, but I'm not gonna like it. I've really started to legitimately feel awful for Hillary and how she's been treated. They found a shiny new toy.

Seriously, Czech, Eisenhower had no political experience and he was elected twice. Also was far from awful as president.

Lincoln was less experienced than Obama.

Hillary has only about four more years of actual experience than Obama, and less if his state-legislature time is included.

If experience really was the end-all-be-all then Biden or Dodd or Richardson or Robert fucking Byrd would have the nomination. If experience really was the sole harbinger of good leadership, Dick Cheney wouldn't be among the worst national leaders of all time.

What I'm saying here, Czech (and Hillz), is find another hill.

Possibly that, possibly an afterthought, certainly not this world-changing force he's being as touted as now.

Hillary's campaign is doing the unthinkable (to me): kneecapping the first most influential and energizing politician in the 21st century. Supporting McCain over Obama was an act of sheer cynicism, and only proves that Clinton, is indeed, a "polarizing and divisive force."

Posted
He didn't learn everything he knows from Glen Beck until about 3 weeks ago.

Ok, so Romney had a couple of % points lead in the GOP over the last 4 months of 2007 but Mccain quickly erased that when actual voting started, so what good did being a front runner do for him? Maybe he was a front runner but not when it actually counted like Obama is right now, which was the whole point of Superjerks post with Romney's picture.
