Guest Prodigy Report post Posted July 30, 2005 Did anyone manage to catch this? They had two hours of AD. I managed to catch the last episode, but am lucky enough to get the repeat on the west coast.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 Hey, that was great. I haven't seen season 2, and now I've seen four of the episodes. Another 4-episode block next Friday.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 TiVoed all four of them. I love this show.

Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 The thing is, I've seen those episodes at least five times each and still laughed like it was my first time.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 Michael: "Get the Seaward out of here." Lucille: "I'll leave when I'm good and ready." Â "Don't come asking for a handout, because I run a tight ship." "There's a pool table over there." "...it's a gaming ship."
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 GOB's multiple pronunciations of "circumvent" had me rolling. Â "I think he's trying to cir-sem-vrent the law."
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 That was awesome, I randomly caught the marathon, great stuff. I've only caught single eps of AD before...watching several in a row makes you appreciate the call-backs all the more. Like the uncle always implying he is the father of Buster. Good stuff. I'll definately catch it next week.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 30, 2005 I watched this show for the first time and didn't laugh once.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 Then don't bother. It's not a grower, it's something you pretty much need to *get* right off the bat.
Si82 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 I hope somebody show the second season here in the UK. Hopefully not the BBC after the fucked about with it causing me to miss shows when the moved the show without making an announcement about it. Fuckwits. I suppose I could always wait for the DVD. LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 Just download it. I started downloading 18 eps from season 2 last night.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 I just got Season One for my birthday and have been loving it. Tobias jumping on GOB's shoulders with the "THIS kind of agility?" line kills it.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I just blasted through Season 2. God, that show is brilliant.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I watched this show for the first time and didn't laugh once. I think I tried on at least three different occasions to watch this show (including the one that was Emmy nominated, I believe) and sat through them mostly stone-faced
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I'm weird about TV, anyway, and I got the distinct impression that it's meant to hook a niche audience. That's fine and all, I'm just not in it. I still like David Cross a lot, though.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 It really is. I think that not seeing the first season hurt it for you, too.
Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I agree with the above post. I caught an episode here and there in season 2's initial run (including an episode that aired the other night) and just didn't find the show that funny. Â It wasn't until I viewed the first season that everything comes together and makes sense. Â Before you judge it you should really check out the complete first season, because the same episodes in season 2 that made me go, "what the fuck, why's that funny?" now have me laughing. Â Â BTW, a specific episode was Emmy nominated? (I don't know how the Emmy's work) What episode was it? The "Teaching Lesson's" one?
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted August 6, 2005 Just as a reminder, there's another four-episode block tonight.
treble 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 Sweet, 'Afternoon Delight'. I love this episode.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted August 6, 2005 It's been said before, but the show gets better upon each viewing. Â I didn't think anything of Buster's giant hand chair (from one of last week's episodes) and the claw game the first time around, but now they have meaning. AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 "Those are balls." Â That sequence was awesome. I've gotta get this show on DVD.

LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 Sweet, 'Afternoon Delight'. I love this episode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  Afternoon Delight is probably my favorite AD episode. It's brilliant on so many levels.  "That's my nephew and my wife. We have an open relationship."  And the whole thing with Gob's suit having an exponential value. "Yeah, sure, the guy with the six thousand dollar suit is going to move around boxes, COME ON"
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 Sweet, 'Afternoon Delight'. I love this episode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  "I think Mom needs a little Afternoon Delight." "How should I get it in her?" "I really don't..." "Maybe I'll put it in her brownie." "Hey!"  One of my favorite moments of the show.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 I'm enjoying the 2-hour block. Gob must be the biggest ass this side of <insert Vince Vaughn character here>
Coolclint 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Sweet, 'Afternoon Delight'. I love this episode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  Afternoon Delight is probably my favorite AD episode. It's brilliant on so many levels.  "That's my nephew and my wife. We have an open relationship."  And the whole thing with Gob's suit having an exponential value. "Yeah, sure, the guy with the six thousand dollar suit is going to move around boxes, COME ON" <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  I'm sure some other people have noticed this, but at the Christmas party, his suit is $7,000, and after the commercial break, when he's taken off his candy covered jacket, the suit is now $3,500.  I wish I could say I caught this, but my mom did. She caught the show for the first time last Friday and loved it.
