Matt Young 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 I was just wondering if anyone else would be staying up to watch the first NFL preseason game between the Falcons and Colts, live from Tokyo, Japan, at 5 AM Eastern/2 AM Pacific on ESPN2. I'm sure it has somewhat, but while I had heard about the game due to Edgerrin James' initial reluctance to make the trip, I had no idea that it was on tonight/this morning/whatever until Wilbon briefly mentioned it on PTI. The great part is, is that because it's a preseason game it's only worth catching for the first half hour or so. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2005 I got home at 4 AM from being out and saw that it was on and I was dead tired but I was like "football.....must watch....." I watched the first half. Vick's interception wasn't bad and the safety made a great play but Manning's interception was just an awful rookie move. I like pre-season b/c you get to see the rookie's play. Bears win it 27-24 after an INT in the endzone, squashing the Miami final drive with around :30 left in the game. I was surprized how empty the place became with like 10:00 still left in the 4th, as it wasn't a blow out, even though it was a preseason game, it's not like the fans saw the stars who they wanted to see and then headed for the exits, since neither team is really featuring anyone like that for the most part.
