OK so it's only been a feud recently, but this has been in the works since the SWF Christmas Party. That takes planning, folks. CYCLONE COMET TROPHY FOR PROMO WRITER OF THE YEAR -Scott Pretzler. I'm not sure if the guy has even ever had opening promo, but no-one else writes promos as intentionally irritating. I like Pretzler, I like his character, but the promos STILL infuriate me. And they're meant to. The best example of someone writing promos absolutely perfect for his character. NATHANIEL KIBAGAMI AWARD FOR PROMO OF THE YEAR -To come. zyon 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2005 The Pay Per View Match of the Year Award Toxxic vs Pretzler. Great match used to as Toxx's swan song. Good storytelling and both men came out winners here. The Non-PPV Match of the Year Award JJJ vs. Scott Pretzler. Great match with the story playing off the my vote for PPV Match of the year. The ending was shocking and I'm pretty much a mark for non PPV title changes. The Feud of the Year Award I'll go Spike vs. Tom Flesher/CC. It may be a cliched angle (Wrestler vs. Boss) but its being done quite well. I went back and read the promo where Flesher absolutely destroyed Spike's confidence and that alone won this angle over with me. The Cyclone Comet Trophy - For Promo Writer of the Year Toxxic and Pretzler for this. Both for being good heels and in Toxxic's case having some good face ones too. The Pay Per View Match of the Year Award I'm going to pick the Wildchild-Scott Pretzler ladder match from Battleground. Simply awesome The Non-PPV Match of the Year Award I'm nominating two, and the first one's probably going to be a shocker. 1. Toxxic vs. Andrea Montgomery from (I believe) October 2004. Reading this match is actually what inspired me to start taking a look at possibly entering the fed. I even had a promo planned out to make fun of Toxxic for coming *that close* to losing the title to a woman. 2. Johnny Dangerous vs. Jay Hawke in the International Title tournament finals. I still think the match I wrote for this one was my best work in the fed so far ... and it lost. I'd be stupid not to nominate this as a result.
