Hurricane Katrina

Recommended Posts

Cena IS a wigger.

I'm not saying he's trying to act 'black' because 'black' isn't a way. But he's trying to act like a ghetto thug who speaks badly and so on and so on. White people have a word for people like that. It's wigger.

...

Anyways, I would say that NO authorities fucked up before and during the hurricane, and national authorities fucked up afterwards. There should be no reason why people couldn't have been taken out of there after the storm was over. At least not for DAYS.

I don't know what exactly this whole "sacred bond" among minority groups is about, especially when I tend to hear or read more about homogeneous race-on-race crimes than crimes crossing racial boundaries

I'm waiting

That's a silly red herring, Slayer. Violence within minority groups probably happens at a high rate because *gasp* they live and act in close proximity to each other!

A husband is much more likely to kill his wife than a stranger, but that doesn't mean that the stranger is somehow "closer" to the wife.

But if they have this innate respect for each other, and these shared experiences that make them like brothers, why wouldn't they...not kill each other?

If I can't apply a literal definition for "us," you can't force a literal definition for "wigger."

That's not even the issue with you. My main problem with your argument is that you're blasting blacks for thinking collectively while at the same time grouping Kanye in with a black stereotype. It's either one way or the other...how you define "us" is completely irrelevant to me.

And there is no innate respect between all black people. Some people feel that way, others don't. There's no universal character trait in any group of people, end of story.

I don't think it's some magical, mythical bond--it's just that people tend to identify with groups.

Again, family members are closer to one another than anyone else, yet they are also more likely to murder each other than anyone else.

BTW, Czech, I never knew you were racist.  I mean, I don't have any proof of you being racist....never heard or seen you do anything racist.  But you've criticized Kanye West, and apparently, that's all one needs to do to be considered racist these days.

Here, lemme help:

DAAAYUM MUHFUCKAS DA GUBMENT OUTS TO GET MAH PEOPLE AND NOW DA MEEDA BE OUTS TO GET MAH PEOPLE TOO. AIN'T NO ONE LOOKIN OUT FOR DA BLACK MAN Y'ALLS WANTS TO BE KILLIN MAH PEOPLE AND MAKINS US LOOK LIKE SHEEEEEEIT

That's all you got, huh.

OMG, he used mock ebonics to parody Kanye West - who, though considered "well-spoken" by some, has engaged in ebonics when, I suppose, he felt it was appropriate. Oh God, Czech, you ignorant racist bastard.

Again: didn't know that criticizing one big, loud-mouthed fucktard, who happens to be black, means that one is a racist. Okay, so: non-blacks can't criticize blacks, even if the criticism is well-deserved, because if they do, they're racist. I did NOT know that. I'm going to have to write that one down for future reference.

He just assumed Kanye was foul-mouthed and spoke ebonics which he isn't and doesn't. And I guarantee you he wouldn't pull that "GUBMINT, MAH PEOPLE" stuff in front of a black person.

*edit* also, I'm not saying that Czech is a raging racist, just that some of the things he said might be construed that way--I like Czech and think he's funny, I just disagree with him sometimes

Okay, how the hell can anyone possibly be spending their time trying to support such goings-on?

http://www.katrinamistakelist.com/

The story on the people that were shot on the bridge has already been changed three times, with the previous version vanishing. There's even the actual video of the German broadcast that showcased the farce that was the President's visit. Motherfucker can go to Baghdad, where there's several bombings in a single day at times even in the safest of places, where he's surrounded by foreigners that "his army" invaded, why the FUCK couldn't he go into a city in HIS nation and stand among HIS people? I've never been more disgusted with these clowns than I am right now. Their negligence has violated the trust of the people that when shit goes down, they're going to fucking be there for us. Their purpose is to serve the public, not cower in a helicopter and look at all the bad stuff from a distance. And did you see the "briefing" on live TV that he received when he arrived in Alabama? What the fuck? Shouldn't he know what's going on before he gets there? Not that I think that was an actual briefing, but it makes the President look like a moron for not arriving prepared to do something and having to be told what the fuck he's there for in the first place! I do NOT like these people destroying their people's faith in this country, a country that's had sparingly few fuckups of this magnitude because we almost always beat whatever the problem was. We just invaded a country and effectively made their whole armed forces ineffective in the blink of an eye. We just allocated $80 billion and more to come for reconstruction and peacekeeping in Iraq, so why can the government only toss 1/8 of that amount for thousands upon thousands dead and unknown material costs in one of its own cities from a natural disaster, something that isn't anyone's fault in the first place?

I'm just unspeakably furious right now, shit's gonna have to change real soon or we're fucked. What if the Superdome had been destroyed by terrorists during a Saints home game or something? Where is the comfort and support of the government? Note that while I'm angry at those in charge certainly, there's a lot of long-term beef here since the Army Corps of Engineers has had their budget cut for years, even before the current folks moved in. Sorry to interrupt your vacations and shopping trips, but civilization is breaking down in the most stable and powerful country in the world, and we appear as vulnerable as ever.

He just assumed Kanye was foul-mouthed and spoke ebonics which he isn't and doesn't.

I read two articles on him in the last few days, one in Time, one on VH1.com. He came off as foul-mouted and not particularly well-spoken to me, though the premise of the Time blowjob piece was that his mom is a professor at Chicago State, he wears blazers and pink dress shirts, and oh and by the way he wrote songs about how the government infected blacks with AIDS and supplied them with crack to kill them off, now here's someone America can agree on! You wouldn't hate on a "guy who looks like he should be waiting for his acceptance letter from Exeter," would you? They barely mentioned that he threw a fit over losing to Maroon 5 and that country singer, which he admitted, he did to generate publicity for himself, a fact I took into account after I stopped laughing hysterically at "George Bush doesn't like black people." I was less than impressed with the guy. Sorry.

Don't be fucking disingenous. No one would have thought that - no one who was even remotely paying attention to his argument or the context in which the ebonics parody was made.

I think it far more likely that Czech's just poked huge, gaping holes in Kanye's bullshit and in the rather sad excuses of those who have been trying to defend him, and the best any of you can come up with to counter those arguments is "uh....well, you know I could construe you as a racist..."

To quote the late Ol' Dirty Bastard: nigga please.

If that previous article is true then Bush isn't the one who deserves to be getting all the haterade.

The Drudge Report showed the NO could've evacuated a lot of its poor people with school buses (giving a link to Yahoo! which showed those buses underwater).  In fact, the NO mayor was SUPPOSED to use those buses by some type of order/law that concerns mass evacuations from the city.

Just goes to show you once again how politics/bureaucracy keep getting us, our soldiers, and other people of the world killed.  Absolutely sickening.

Who says the mayor didn't?

http://nola.live.advance.net/newslogs/brea...es/2005_08.html

As of 9:30 a.m., Mayor Nagin has issued a mandatory evacuation for New Orleans.

The Superdome has been opened for people with special needs and as a shelter of last resort. Residents should call (504) 568-3200 to reserve space in this shelter.

The city has set up ten pickup areas to take people to emergency shelters. RTA buses will be picking up citizens for free and take them to these shelters. The number to call for pickup areas is 1-800-469-4828.

The pickup locations are

McMain High: 5712 S Claiborne Ave New Orleans, LA 70125

Rabouin High:727 Carondelet St New Orleans, LA 70130

Mondy George O Elementary: 2327 Philip St New Orleans, LA 70113

O.P. Walker: 2832 General Meyer Ave New Orleans, LA 70114

Abramson: 5552 Read Blvd New Orleans, LA 70127

S.T. Reed : 5316 Michoud Blvd New Orleans, LA 70129

Sylvain Williams: 3127 Martin L. King Blvd. New Orleans, LA. 70125

Augustine Middle:425 S. Broad St. New Orleans, LA. 70119

Warren Easton: 3039 Higgins Blvd. New Orleans, LA. 70126

MLK Jr. Elementary: 1617 Caffin Avenue New Orleans, LA 70117

N.O. Mission, address not available at time of publish.

Mondy Center, address not available at time of publish.

William Franz , address not available at time of publish.

Residents are asked to bring food for 3-5 days, pillows, blankets, and any other supplies needed.

And if they would have listened and all brought food for 5 days, they would only have went one day without food.

He even told people to use it only as a last resort because he couldn't promise electricity or plumbing.

Dude, a lot of the things Czech said came off as racist. Several people commented on this--even non-CE "liberal" people. And, again, if he said that type of shit around black people, it woudn't go over well. Just like you wouldn't say "nigga please" around black people.

Don't say that all black people wouldn't like it, that simply isn't true. I've heard jokes made by us about it that black people will laugh at.

Dear Mr. Bush:

Any idea where all our helicopters are? It's Day 5 of Hurricane Katrina and thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted. Where on earth could you have misplaced all our military choppers? Do you need help finding them? I once lost my car in a Sears parking lot. Man, was that a drag.

Also, any idea where all our national guard soldiers are? We could really use them right now for the type of thing they signed up to do like helping with national disasters. How come they weren't there to begin with?

Last Thursday I was in south Florida and sat outside while the eye of Hurricane Katrina passed over my head. It was only a Category 1 then but it was pretty nasty. Eleven people died and, as of today, there were still homes without power. That night the weatherman said this storm was on its way to New Orleans. That was Thursday! Did anybody tell you? I know you didn't want to interrupt your vacation and I know how you don't like to get bad news. Plus, you had fundraisers to go to and mothers of dead soldiers to ignore and smear. You sure showed her!

I especially like how, the day after the hurricane, instead of flying to Louisiana, you flew to San Diego to party with your business peeps. Don't let people criticize you for this -- after all, the hurricane was over and what the heck could you do, put your finger in the dike?

And don't listen to those who, in the coming days, will reveal how you specifically reduced the Army Corps of Engineers' budget for New Orleans this summer for the third year in a row. You just tell them that even if you hadn't cut the money to fix those levees, there weren't going to be any Army engineers to fix them anyway because you had a much more important construction job for them -- BUILDING DEMOCRACY IN IRAQ!

On Day 3, when you finally left your vacation home, I have to say I was moved by how you had your Air Force One pilot descend from the clouds as you flew over New Orleans so you could catch a quick look of the disaster. Hey, I know you couldn't stop and grab a bullhorn and stand on some rubble and act like a commander in chief. Been there done that.

There will be those who will try to politicize this tragedy and try to use it against you. Just have your people keep pointing that out. Respond to nothing. Even those pesky scientists who predicted this would happen because the water in the Gulf of Mexico is getting hotter and hotter making a storm like this inevitable. Ignore them and all their global warming Chicken Littles. There is nothing unusual about a hurricane that was so wide it would be like having one F-4 tornado that stretched from New York to Cleveland.

No, Mr. Bush, you just stay the course. It's not your fault that 30 percent of New Orleans lives in poverty or that tens of thousands had no transportation to get out of town. C'mon, they're black! I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days? Don't make me laugh! Race has nothing -- NOTHING -- to do with this!

You hang in there, Mr. Bush. Just try to find a few of our Army helicopters and send them there. Pretend the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast are near Tikrit.

Yours,

Michael Moore

I will admit, I did laugh at the Sears joke.

Dear Michael Moore,

Do you have any idea where all the Krispy Kreme donuts we were sending to the Gulf Coast are?

They were last seen in your vicinity with several large cups of coffee.'

If you want to point fingers, go down there and spend your OWN money on the effort.

Signed,

The citizens of Baton Rouge, LA

I laughed too, but probably for a different reason than you did.
