Man, Cartoon Network is really trying to put a hurting on my wallet by forcing me to buy 8-hour blank tapes non-stop these days, but dammit, it's worth it!

BTW, anybody think they're going to have Prometheus on the show anytime soon?

Episode #27 - We Are Legion

Original Airdate - September 17th 2005 - Season Premiere

Lex Luthor is rescued from prison by a new villainous organization - the Legion of Doom!

OOOOOOOOOH WHAT A RUSH!

(Sorry, had to get that joke in there)

Seriously though...who will be in the DCAU Legion of Doom? If I remember correctly...the members in the original were:

Lex Luthor

Grodd

Black Manta

Cheetah

Toyman

Giganta

Captain Cold

Riddler

Bizarro

Solomon Grundy

Sinestro

Brianiac

The Scarecrow

Now...with the "Bat Embargo", that means Riddler and Scarecrow are probably out. Brainiac...doesn't seem like a team player anymore. Grodd, Giganta, and Sinestro, last we saw them, were part of the Secret Society. So...what will that leave for the new Legion of Doom?

What would rule is that we could get the following

Promethus (doubtful but would rule)

Mirror Master

Vandal Savage (could be back after being gone awhile)

Dr. Sivana (Captain Marvel villian)

Black Adam (seriously would mark out for)

If Captain Cold gets on-screen I would be so pumped.

The Bat embargo sucks since you have several cool villians that you could use such as Riddler, Joker, Mr. Freeze and Two Face.

Anyone else still want the Spectre to appear on the series?

Wouldn't we need Parallax before we get Spectre?

Oh, and for the record...before we saw Kyle appear in the return of AMAZO ep of JLU, I had a thought about HIM becoming the DCAU Parallax.

You really would not need to see Parllax to have the Spectre appear. I am just a fan of his. Not sure how they would work him in the series for an appearance though.

I always felt that the Scarecrow and the Riddler didn't really fit in with the Legion of Doom (especially the Riddler). The group, to me, always seemed like a combination of intellectual (Luthor, Brainiac, Grodd, ect) and physical might (Bizarro, Solomon Grundy, Giganta, ect).

Count me as one of the people wanting to see Black Adam. He's become one of my favorite DCU "villains."

Scarecrow in current continuity might fit.

Besides, for the original...what about Toyman?

I was wondering when they were going to whip out

Hawkman

, though I'm a little surprised they went with the

Carter Hall

version.

Actually this version of the Legion of Doom is made to be like the exact opposite of the JLU, which means there are like 30 members in the group.

This is a list of villains one person saw in the episode preview at the San Diego Comic Con. Remember this is not a full list and some characters might be mistaken for others

Luthor, Grodd, the Key, Sinestro, Star Sapphire, Evil Star, Atomic Skull, Toyman, Dr. Destiny, Bizarro Giganta,Cheetah, Black Manta, Parasite, Silver Banshee, Kanjar Ro, Blockbuster, Dr. Polaris, Livewire, Clock King, KGBeast, Gentleman Ghost, Copperhead, Black Mass, Metallo and Rampage.

...wait a second...

How did

Dr. Destiny

break out of his craziness?

..and that group would be SO much better with Joker. ...almost everything's better with Joker. Except his sidekick Harley. She's fun by herself. ^_^

I've been saying since the beginning that they should have Spectre on the show.

And they don't need Parallax for Spectre, Parallax became Spectre II

Absolutely, considering Hal Jordan never became a GL in the JLU continuity.

So we'll probably see a lot of the same faces from Injustice for All--minus Grundy and Joker and the addition of a bunch of others.

Are we going to get a JL DVD set at some time, or are they going to continue to do the lame 4-eps-per-disc max thing thing they've been doing?

Sweet a Flash episode in which his villians crash the opening of his museum? Here is to hoping that Captain Cold, Mirror Master and a 2nd appearance of Captain Boomerang show up.

I swear that this sounds like an old Superfriends episode.

-----MEANWHILE BACK AT THE HALL OF JUSTICE----

If they ever use that tagline this season, I will mark out huge, just because it is such a bad transition for storylines.

best example was from a Superfriends episode where they realize there is trouble accross the galaxy they take off and then boom the announcer goes "meanwhile billions of miles later" That was so strange to hear.

That story sounds whack, but could be a good episode.

Honestly I'm surprised they haven't made more allusions to the old cartoonl series aside from Flash's "What, like a bunch of Superfriends?" quip.

Obviously you missed the "Ultimatum" ep, although the Ultimen also appear in Panic in the Sky in a way.

Thank you, God.

I still don't understand why they are limiting the Batman Rogue Gallery to almost nothing in the JLU now that Batman Begins is out. Hopefully The Joker or Harley will show up every now and then.

I think they should go back to meeting in a cave...

I think Chuck Dixon once noted (talking about Punisher/Batman) that Batman basically tolerates guys like Joker and Riddler, wheras other heroes wouldn't bother playing their games.

That being said, guys like Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul would be decent foes for the JLU. Maybe a heel Azrael also.
