pochorenella Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Joker already showed up in the JL animated series. He teamed up with the Royal Flush Gang IIRC.
Boner Kawanger Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 And he was in the Injustice Gang in season one.
CBright7831 Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Joker already showed up in the JL animated series. He teamed up with the Royal Flush Gang IIRC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know. He needs to make more appearances. He's had four major episodes -- Injustice For All (Part 1 & 2, and he showed up about halfway through Part 1) and Wild Card (Part 1 & 2). Both episodes kicked ass and took names. He also had a cameo with Posion Ivy, Two Face, and The Ventriloquist and Scarface in one episode that I can't remember the name of.
ChrisMWaters Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 The reason there's few Batman villains in JLU is because of the new Batman Movie series, for one...and also the getting better but no where near as good as the original cartoon series "The Batman". ...where they basically re-mix most of the Bats villains.
Vampiro69 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Yeah the new Batman cartoon basically has control over the Bat villians right now, which is why we don't see Joker or the rest of his gang.
Guest JMA Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 It's kind of weird how super-villain teams are all the rage at DC now. - There's a group led by Luthor in Alex Ross' Justice. - A group (led by Luthor) in Villains United. - And a group (led by Luthor) in JLU.
ChrisMWaters Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Yeah the new Batman cartoon basically has control over the Bat villians right now, which is why we don't see Joker or the rest of his gang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heroes too. Compared to...
Guest JMA Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 That is because villians rule! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hell yeah!
DrVenkman PhD Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Does anyone know when JLU's new season is supposed to air in Canada? It's not on the Friday schedule for the fall (that I could see over on www.zannen.ca ) so it's either on at a different time or Canada is falling back into being well behind the US airings after a season of being ahead.
CBright7831 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Yeah the new Batman cartoon basically has control over the Bat villians right now, which is why we don't see Joker or the rest of his gang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fuck whoever created The Batman cartoon series. They ruined every villain on the show. Look at The Joker: Do people watch this show?
Ravenbomb Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 man, that's like sub-Teen Titans bad...
ChrisMWaters Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Yeah the new Batman cartoon basically has control over the Bat villians right now, which is why we don't see Joker or the rest of his gang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fuck whoever created The Batman cartoon series. They ruined every villain on the show. Look at The Joker: Do people watch this show? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, to their credit, they had a more interesting Clayface history. And the one thing that's interesting about this Joker is that he's also a physical match...to an extent...for Batman.
Vampiro69 Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 But who did the voice for Clayface? On BTAS wasn't the voice of Clayface Ron Peralman?
ChrisMWaters Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 But who did the voice for Clayface? On BTAS wasn't the voice of Clayface Ron Peralman? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was the same guy who did that black detective friend of Bruce in "The Batman" Read up on the "The Batman" history of Clayface and you'll see why.
Ted the Poster Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Clayface is played by Steve Haris, who was on The Practice. This new Batman show has a decent amount of celebrities, I noticed. Ming-Na, Robert Englund, Frank Gorshin(RIP), Edward James Olmos, Ron Perlman(Killer Croc)...

Ced Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Gorshin played Hugo Strange, a psychatrist at Arkham. It's funny. The Batman had The Riddler right there, yet they cast Robert Englund as Riddler and re-designed him to look like Marilyn Manson.

Like Catwoman's "The Batman" outfit.
Boner Kawanger Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 But Catwoman's outfit is the most faithful thing comic-wise on the show.
AndrewTS Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 But Catwoman's outfit is the most faithful thing comic-wise on the show. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, it's pretty much her outfit circa-Hush, but with bigger ears and bigger goggles. I haven't seen any character designs for The Batman's version of Poison Ivy, if they're planning to use her. The green-skinned one usually clothed with vines and leaves kind of has the perfect mix of creepy and sexy. I'm surprised TB hasn't redone her as a witch with branch-like limbs. TB's Penguin looks surprisingly normal. The comics have had way-creepier looking versions, and certainly Returns' version is kind of in there too.

Vampiro69 Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 I just wish that we would get some of the rarer but cooler villians of the DC universe in the show. People like Black Adam, and Captain Cold. I don't remember this, but has Kobra or Brother Blood ever been in the Bruce Timm DC animated universe?

Brother Blood appeared in Teen Titans, if you want to count that.
AndrewTS Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Old news, but details on the Supes AS DVD set due out Dec 6th. http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/releases/dvd/vol2/ Shock of shocks, no commentary on Mxyzptlk's debut ep? Looks good otherwise...but I hate that they've yet again done the double-sided DVD thing.

Definitely a must buy.
Vampiro69 Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 Sweet, I never got a chance to watch the Superman series, but I thought the first volume was great. Can't wait for the 2nd volume to come out.

And World's Finest being included in there, which I have yet to own on DVD separately. Reminder--tonight at 10 the new season starts, not 9. New Naruto at 9 instead.
ChrisMWaters Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Blackhawks mention, Legion of Doom, Fire and Ice... This is a great ep already!
