Should the 4 Horseman come back to the Wrestling and in the WWE?

 

The 4 Horseman were great. Ric Flair was awesome in it and Arn was the Enforcer. I do miss the 4 Horseman, but don't know if they should bring them back. It would be cool if they did come back and just dominated the WWE like they used to in Wrestling.

 

I liked Mongo McMichael in the 4 Horseman back then too, he was a nice big man that could do damage.

 

Now, I would say Ric Flair, Triple H, Batista, and Big Show would make a pretty good current 4 Horseman. Others that would fit in the 4 Horseman would maybe be Christian, Animal, and maybe Benoit again. I think any 4 of them would be pretty tough to mess with and they would take out anybody and everybody.

 

The WWE just needs some dominant group I say, something like DX was even.

I agree that there should be some new group, something fresh, however I do not want to see a legacy tarnished (anymore). Establish something new. There wouldn't have been a Four Horseman to talk about these days if they didn't want to start something fresh all those years ago.

I still think D-X would work better than the Horsemen. Flair is at the point that he is so over that he could be telling women in the crowd to suck his dick and the room would pop.

 

HHH, heel non-Jesus HBK, Carlito, and CM Punk would make a great D-X 2, but that's just IMHO.

But seriously, no more 4 Horsemen. Groups from that era should not be reincarnated, with a possible exception being D-X, as mentioned above. Carlito isn't really a good fit for a group like that, I just can't see him with that particular attitude. He's on a different planet than most of the other heels in his mannerisms and character. An association with some top talent would do Punk the world of good, but I don't think he'd get over as the newest member of Evolution, or even the newest member of the latest incarnation of D-X. He needs to be brought in by Foley or someone like that, not just thrust in like Orton was, as he'll have no credibility with marks.

It was bad enough when WCW would bring up the idea every few months in order to attract ratings. Besides, the Horsemen name has become tarnished thanks to things like Steve McMichael as a horsemen and the way WCW continually buried them. Choices like Big Show and Animal would only trash them even more.

 

I've nothing against WWE coming up with a new stable but please, not another Horsemen re-hash like Evolution was.

No. If the Four Horsemen did return, the Clique would most likely be a part of the group. I don't really want to see them (and Flair) telling us how great they are. In fact, the Clique should be kept away from anything related to the NWA, including Ric Flair.

They should be original, not sponging off of old acts that are never going to be as good as the originials. While Evolution paled in comparison to the Horsemen or DX, at least they came up with a different name.

 

Basically, you want a dominant, ME faction, preferably heel. That's fine, just come up with a different name and concept for the group besides Horsemen or DX.

How could a group come back with the Horsemen name? First off, the group would have to include Flair and, although it probably would in some fashion, but the man is well past his prime.

Well, I don't know if the Writers are smart enough to come up with another Group, they sure haven't brought in a new good one in some time. I didn't really care for Evolution either, wasn't a strong dominent force at all. DX was pretty good back then though, but that's it in my opinion.

I forgot about Team Angle. Kurt was good in it, but the other 2 did nothing for me. Well if they brought that idea again but with all "Stars" that were great technical Wrestlers that would be cool. Benoit would fit in there nicely too. Others that would be cool in Team Angle could be maybe: Matt Hardy, Rob Van Dam, William Regal, and maybe Randy Orton. I wouldn't mind watching any 4 of them together if they made them strong and dominated.

You lumped Matt Hardy, RVD and Randy Orton into a "technical" group. How you managed to correctly indentify William Regal as a technical wrestler, I'll never know.

I'm not saying all the Wrestlers I mentioned are great technical Wrestlers at all, and their not as technical as say Bret Hart or the Dynamite Kid. But i really think Benoit is in my opinion, sorry if you disagree. "Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin" I never considered them stars or headliners, sorry, don't like watching them wrestle at all, but glad you did/do.

 

When you look at the current WWE Roster, their really aren't any great Technical Wrestlers that are worth watching in my opinion except for Benoit and Kurt who I like. Some of the Wrestlers I mentioned are decent technically in my opinion: Kurt, Benoit, and Regal. The group doesn't have to be 100% technical, just thought it would be a cool group of Wrestlers I made up. I think RVD can do it all for all, hold for hold too. Not Randy Orton of course, just threw him in there because sometimes he likes to kick BUTT and has decent size.

And that's a big reason I don't want to see the Horsemen back. Seeing Triple H playacting as Ric Flair is depressing enough already.
