It looks like the people love action movies with big explosions, bad acting, and b-list actors......Michael Bay now has competition.

I like Jason Statham. He's a good hand and I'm happy to see him top the charts this week.

That said, I didn't care much for the 1st Transporter movie but I haven't seen it in years. Is the 2nd one any good?

It's good only if you like the hero using ordinary objects as weapons. That being said, the fight that had Jason Statham use a fire hose as a whip was my favorite of the movie but the scene where he used coconuts as gloves is just as good.

Corey Yuen is great fight director as you can see the man can make anybody into a credible action star.

Give that man an Oscar then!

Oh, wait, the Academy doesn't give out awards to stunt folks...

Nice start for The Constant Gardner, I've heard very good reviews about that film, have to find the time to see it.

So like, Wedding Crashers seems to have done well...

Yeah, I thought it would do well, but the fact it's going to hit 200 million? That's amazing.

And it probably means they'll try to throw a shit load of money at Vaughn & Wilson for a sequel.

I liked the Transporter 2. I adore Jason Statham. He's an interesting person off camera as well, plus he's usually in actiony movies and that appeals to my "hey lookit that cute guy blow shit up and kick people around" side.

I really like the first one too, and thought this one was better, storywise. There wasn't really a big love story mucking things up and that's always a bonus.

Circa Labor Day weekend usually gets crap, and around it you usually get stuff studios don't expect to make much bank anyway. Remember Paparazzi and Sky Captain coming out last year?

And Labor Day isn't a "real" holiday anyway.
