Art Sandusky Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Tennessee's defense comes up huge, despite some penalties. Ainge'll have a little over a minute to get them down the field and put some points up on a tired Florida defense before the Gators get the ball back after the half. This is an awesome game already.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Uhh.. Ainge is playing very well and they put Clausen back in. Figure that one out.
Art Sandusky Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Yo Phil, you're not Jim Tressel. You know better than this.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Great game so far. Just a few thoughts: Â Florida -- Stop running the football on draw plays. Use the option. Put the ball in the hands of Chris Leak. Â Tennessee -- Keep Ainge in. I know I'm a Florida fan but even I know this is a bad mistake by Fulmer.
Art Sandusky Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Tennessee's defense needs to keep up the intensity, make themselves the model teams will watch on how to stop Leak. The stiffening since the first quarter has been superb. Â Another great day of football! It'd be perfect if USC lost to Arkansas.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 BC is really throwing FSU around out there. Poor Weatherford--even when he's hitting his receivers, they're dropping the passes. I think BC's going to hold on and end up with a 7-10 point win the way this is playing out. Â Texas Tech has the high point total of the day with 66 against D-IAA powerhouse Sam Houston State...in the third quarter.
Bored Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Posted September 18, 2005 Score of the Day: Tulsa 54, North Texas 2 (update!) Â Okay it was cute for a while but come on NCAA enough is enough, move the entire Sun Belt Conference to I-AA. North Texas is the best they have to offer! Â And completey unrelated I just feel so bad for a guy having to grow up with the last name Fagg (FSU wideout).
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 A big time mistake by the Vols, Gator' ball inside the 30.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Fake on their own 25? The fuck?
therealworldschampion Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Is it just me or does Florida center Mike DeGory look like a dead ringer for Eugene?
UZI Suicide Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Reggie Bush 76 yard TD run on his first touch of the game.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 For the love of Christ Florida.. STOP RUNNING THE BALL ON THE DRAW.
Guest *KNK* Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Have you ever watched a game and going into the final quarter/inning/period, you still didn't care about either team and didn't care who wins and yet still watched the whole game although it was hardly that appealing in the first place and the game wasn't anything special as well? Â That's Tennessee/FLA for me right now...I'd like to see another dramatic finish for football today, So I'll root for Tennessee to tie this game up and set up a dramatic finish...although I don't care for the Vol's.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 For once in about three years, the Gators defense plays spectacular in the fourth to secure the victory and a big one at that.
therealworldschampion Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Fulmer looks like he's ready to have a stroke.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Urban showing emotion for the first time this year.
ANKLELOCK Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Bah, boneheaded plays killed the Vols tonight. UT is better, but they abandoned the run and 3 HUGE special teams gaffes set up 3 Florida FGs and that was the difference. Â Also, allowing 3rd down conversion after 3rd down conversion in that fourth quarter drive didn't help. Florida wore down the massive Vol lines and it showed in the fourth. Â Ah well, I still think we can win the SEC, and thats enough for me as I never thought we could win the National Title. Â Anybody other than USC is a laughable notion at this point.
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 UT is better <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Â Â ... Â As in they can play better or they are better than the Gators?
cabbageboy Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 I wouldn't count on that USC upset since they are maiming Arkansas 42-10 at the half. Â By some weird fluke Oregon St. doesn't play USC this year in the Pac 10. I'd like to see how bad the Trojans stomp them compared to what U of L did to them today. Â I actually taped a bit of that FSU game tonight to have documented proof that yes there is a guy on the Seminoles named Fagg. Every time he'd catch a ball the announcers would say "And the pass is complete to....FAGG!" I'd almost fall on the floor laughing.
Bored Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Posted September 18, 2005 And then there is the Tennessee 3rd string QB named Joe Bob Cooter.
therealworldschampion Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 I don't think Tennessee is beating LSU next week, especially with LSU coming off a bye week and the game being in Baton Rouge, which will be a very emotional home opener for LSU. Â I see Tennessee as 9-2 or maybe 8-3 this year depending on the Alabama game, which I think is very much a possible upset with it being in Tuscaloosa.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 I'm just glad Tennessee lost. I just couldn't understand why people thought they were for real...
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 I like revisiting quotes. Â Hell I wonder how they'll feel when the team USC pounded comes into their house and beats them? Probably won't feel too good. Although I heard someone tell me to be more worried about UCLA than Texas. I do not fear UCLA. We're going to Pasadena to beat up USC's little brother. Â Â LOL
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 How you even found those quotes amazes me.
snuffbox Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Wisconsin might have been a bit underrated coming into this season...
Secret Agent Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 There. Happy? I still contend that Oklahoma is a young team that just needs game experience. Look at Bomar's growth over the past two games. Look at the O-Line's growth from the past two games. By season's end this will be a team capable of doing some damage...it'll just be too late then. :\
Urban Warfare Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 I know it's been said a million times, but if OU beats Texas, Mack Brown should seriously consider leaving the state of Texas.
