EricMM 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2006 Absolutely. "You really gotta lock that down..." Buster getting knocked out and blowing the air horn always gets me, even if its kind of dumb. I forget which ep it is, but Buster getting to use Franklin is also classic.

Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2006 I even loved the freakin' music they used on the show. Especially the jazzy one (for Lucille II, GVH Tobias, and the Banana Shack strippers) and the sad "Something Came Up" music from "The Cabin Show."

Guest Felonies! Report post Posted September 8, 2006 The original music is great, but nothing beats the use of "The Final Countdown."

treble 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Anybody watch the blooper reel yet? "I wish I could re-insert you into my womb and then have an abortion!" And Judge Reinhold's reaction to Tobias saying 'flapping over labia' is great, and then the off-camera voice saying, 'Welcome to Arrested Development'. The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Where did Annyong go? I'm at Hand to God right now and I can't remember any explanation for his disappearance, which seemingly happened a while ago.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Annyong was sent off the Milford Academy, IIRC.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Yeah, it was mentioned in passing in "Afternoon Delight" that Lucille sent him there to teach him a lesson.

Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2006 Something I've always wondered... On the season 1 box set, there are episodes (I believe on disc two) that are listed in a different episode order than the original air date. Anyone know what's up with that?
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 I think they were shown out of order, story-wise. Same thing happened with The Office. BTW the season two box set has a beautiful design to it, with the slip-off cover and all.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 So, I read on another message board that in "Afternoon Delight" when they crane the Banana Stand out of the water, if you look close enough you can see spraypaint on the stand that says "I'll get you Bluth! --H*llo" or something to that effect. And of course, that coincides with Lucille sending Annyong to the Milford Academy to teach him a lesson.
dubq 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 I assume seasons 2 and 3 are great as well? Yeah, they're stellar. Season three has a couple of relative cluunkers, but as I said, the last four episodes are just brilliance. And the greatest monologue ever: Here he comes. Here comes John Wayne. “I’m not going to cry about my Pa. I’m going to build an airport— put my name on it.” Why, Michael? So you can fly away from your feelings? You can keep them bottled up, but they will come out, Michael. Sometimes in the most unexpected... HEY! WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY HARD-BOILED EGGS *Sad walk* Cross is brilliant. Love it! Also, the one where he tries to be Michael's assistant and freaks out on one of the employees to get out of the office.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 Just the other day I was going through my external HD and saw a folder labeled "Season 3." I figured it was Scrubs or something. Lo and behold it was AD Season 3. Needless to say I rewatched the season in about two days. So much great stuff. "WHY AM I NOT GOING UNDER THE WATER?" is probably my favorite moment from the season, although "dusty old clap trap" and "I can't spare the moisture" work as well. Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 "Anyway, there's a new daddy in town." ...a new daddy in town "A discipline daddy." ...discipline daddy gonna spank, spank spank... "...oh, it's a parenting tape." "I'd love to have a jaw session with you!" "Let's just say...as long as that means a talk." So many great Tobias moments. At times it seemed like they were pushing too hard with the homosexual stuff, but it still produced some of the best dialogue on the show. "If I look like a man who had sex with his wife last night...it's because I almost did." (But Tobias had a low tolerance for alcohol) "You're very handsss..." Special K 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2006 Maeby: Did you get a new job or something? Tobias: No, no I didn't. Unless you consider world's coolest Daddy a job! George Michael: No, I'm not afraid of sex... Tobias: Oh, good. Have sex with this girl right now. Do it, go. Get in there. Have some sex with her right now. I didn't think so. Ann, you need to decide whether you want a man or a boy. I know how I'd answer.
k thx 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2006 Just finished watching Season 3. Good shit. I only watched AD for the first time about a month back. Got Season 1, took me half a season to get into it. By Season 2, I loved it and by Season 3 I just wanted it to end well. Best "sitcom" ever.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Damn you internets people. You aren't allowed to be two for two when it comes to Fox shows that got cancelled, then were brought back on another network, I end up watching to see if you internets people were justified with your praise. BUTT 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2007/12/06/jason...elopment-movie/ Jason Bateman Refuels Hope For ‘Arrested Development’ Movie 24 Comments | Published by Larry Carroll on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 8:00 am. This is the story of a low-rated TV show that cultivated some of the most loyal fans in the history of the medium, and now has a new glimmer of hope. This is the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together. It’s “Arrested Development.” Cue the plucky music, kids, because Jason Bateman and Michael Cera gave MTV some big news this week: The best TV comedy of the last decade is still alive. “The ‘Arrested Development’ movie is not dead, au contraire,” the dearly deceased show’s star, Bateman, told us Monday. “[Over the weekend I had] a little phone call, just catching up, a little reaching out and touching.” On the other end of that phone was “AD” creator Mitchell Hurwitz, who has found himself with a lot of time to talk since Hollywood’s writers put down their pencils. “This writers strike, it’s a devil’s playground,” grinned Bateman, who has been lobbying for a big-screen “Arrested Development” ever since the show that resurrected his career died a premature death. “The guy doesn’t have anything to do.” Further fueling an “AD” renaissance suddenly hotter than a cornballer, the red-hot Michael Cera is also eager to bring the Bluths back. “Yeah, if that would ever happen that would be great,” said the former (and future?) George Michael Bluth, currently reuniting with his one-time father (well, kinda) in the critically acclaimed comedy “Juno.” “I’ve heard about that since the show was canceled, basically,” said Cera, who broke out earlier this year with “Superbad.” “I don’t want to get my hopes up — but it would be great, I would love to do that.” Ever since the final episode aired 22 months ago, with a scene in which Maeby (Alia Shawkat) tried to sell the rights of her family’s story to Ron Howard, only to have the sly producer insist he’d rather see it as a movie than a TV show, “AD” fans have filled the Internet with chatter. The revelation of this past weekend’s conversation between Bateman and Hurwitz, however, is the closest an “Arrested Development” movie has gotten to becoming a reality. “[During the strike] you’re allowed to write things you’re not being paid to do,” Bateman explained, revealing almost as much as a never-nude. “I’m trying to talk [Hurwitz] into writing the ‘Arrested Development’ movie. And he could be coming around.”

Craig Th 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 Someone called my phone today from a weird ass number. I answered it and they said "Annyong" and some other shit in Korean.
