Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Yeah, but wanting to see someone to die for giving up runs is ignorant.
Guest Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Someone that he knew would give up runs.
Guest Fishyswa Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 This is gonna be a tough comeback to make, how do you find motivation to score runs when your pitchers make them meaningless...
mike546 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hey Al, did you guys brainwash Felix Rodriguez to suck once you traded him to us? How in the world was this guy a set up man for a world series team?
Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Indians had the tying run on third in the ninth and Belliard grounds into the DP to end the game. Moments earlier, Abreu struck out to end the game. And it looks like Maddux is going to lose, thus ending his streak.
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 FOURTEEN YEARS IN A ROW! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
devo Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Mets win their fifth in a row. I'm glad to see they're at least trying to make something out of this season and end the year on a high note. Heartbreaker in Cleveland tonight. Indians came this close to tying in the bottom of the ninth but fell just short. Still two back...
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 FOURTEEN YEARS IN A ROW! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fuck off.
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 THE CHAMPS ARE HERE! ::does Tomahawk::
Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Until postseason comes around. Then people are asking "where did the champs go?"
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 At least we made it to the postseason. ::Cue 5 page discussion on the Braves and the postseason::
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 When the Braves gets eliminated, what hat will you be buying, Bob?
Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 When the Braves gets eliminated, what hat will you be buying, Bob? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoever wins the World Series, DUH!
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 When the Braves gets eliminated, what hat will you be buying, Bob? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure. Those Angels caps look pretty, but I like those black ChiSox hats. FOURTEEN YEARS!~
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 When the Braves gets eliminated, what hat will you be buying, Bob? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure. Those Angels caps look pretty, but I like those black ChiSox hats. FOURTEEN YEARS!~ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good man. Though that's assuming they get in and survive longer than the Braves.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 When the Braves gets eliminated, what hat will you be buying, Bob? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure. Those Angels caps look pretty, but I like those black ChiSox hats. FOURTEEN YEARS!~ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Braves are one of the few playoff-bound teams I could stomach see win it all. Don't ruin that.
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I think I'm allowed my one night celebration where I run around screaming, doing the tomahawk and wooooing.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I'd think the Braves fans would get used to this. After all, as you'd like to remind us, 14 years...
mike546 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Bonds hits 708, and the Giants lead 3-0.
bob_barron Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I never get used to it. Mainly due to my extreme nerves, that I always think they're gonna blow it. I've been figuring out their magic number since August 1
Precious Roy Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Pedro was shut down for the year, taken out of tonight and Sunday's scheduled start. This has been rumoured for about a week, but still a blow to many fantasy owners, myself included.... And what the FUCK happened to our bullpen tonight? Jesus....
therealworldschampion Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Ugh, the Phillies don't deserve the playoffs after the last 2 nights.
Dobbs 3K Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Brewers win again tonight, beating the Reds 6-2. They only need to win 2 of their last 5 games to ensure a non-losing season (an even .500) for the first time since 1992. This is also the first time the Brewers have been above .500 this season since May 27th. Ironically, like someone pointed out earlier, the Brew Crew would be on top of the NL West if they were playing in that division.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 For all the Yankees fans who bitch about, well, anything, take solace in the fact that there's a $100 million team about to finish fourth.

This has been rumoured for about a week, but still a blow to many fantasy owners, myself included.... And what the FUCK happened to our bullpen tonight? Jesus.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Leiter (since going to the pen), F-Rod, Franklin and Embree haven't been bad the whole year? Proctor I don't mind, hes been good. Edit: Thinking about, how basically I see everyone complain about their own teams bullpen, it really says a lot about the amount of good relivers now a days.
Precious Roy Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Jorge Posada has been batting for like a half hour. Thats a lot of foul balls.
CanadianChris Posted September 28, 2005 Author Report Posted September 28, 2005 And this was The Night Where Everybody Lost.
CanadianChris Posted September 28, 2005 Author Report Posted September 28, 2005 Someone needs to remind ESPN.com that it's not 14 straight NL East titles.
devo Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Ironically, like someone pointed out earlier, the Brew Crew would be on top of the NL West if they were playing in that division. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but you could say the same for half the Major Leagues, so it's not that big a deal. Seriously, I'm glad to see the Brewers playing well this year. God knows it's rare to see a small-market team (outside of the Athletics) succeed on any level, so this season from Milwaukee is promising to say the least.
