Agreed. Cincinnati v. Jacksonville should be great as well. I'm really hoping the Bengals can remain undefeated for a while longer, at least until they face the Steelers.

Bengals really have problems they need to address and It's problems JAX will be able to exploit.

I think their one glaring problem is penalties. You can't really teach discipline during the season, so I doubt they'll get much better in that sense. But really, that's the only obvious fault I see with the team.

That's what im referencing to and those penalties nearly defeated them sunday. The Houston Texans didn't keep the game close, the penalties did.

Jax has the ability to capitlize on the Bengals biggest weakness.

Falcons Patriots should be a interesting game.

Brady will be the first QB to make DeAngleo Hall pay. I told my friends that when the season started. Hall jumps EVERY short route EVERY FUCKING TIME, and they are definately going to double move him. The question is do any of NE recievers have the speed to get good enough separaration from him when it comes.

That big play that WILL come will be huge. Besides that, expect ALOT of pressure on Brady. If the Oline doesn't hold up like it didn't in Carolina and last week, it will be a long day for Tom.

On the defesive end, if they had Rodney Harrison to spy Vick, I think the offense would be pretty much shut down. But with him gone and the running game is going to be key and I don't think they have anyone with the speed to contain vick on the edges.

I am picking the Falcons here, but Brady's QBing will make all the difference.

Everyone has bad weeks. I still think that the Pats pass game is better than that. Atlanta's pass D is better, but that is mostly because of a great D line and Linebacker group.

The Pats, while hurting are still a very prideful group of players and they are not going to come out and roll over to anyone after that shitkicking last week.

Its been said he was going to play.

And if Seattle does the same thing as last year, I am travelling to Seattle, and quite possibly kick the shit out of every fuckin player and coach/personal there is.

Doesn't Michael have a seriously sore hammy?

Nope. He went down with a knee sprain on saturday when the DE fell on him. His Hammy is fine. As seen by his two rushes for 45 yards.

Here are some predictions:

Baltimore at Detroit 1:00 p.m....I'll take Detroit in an awful, ugly mess.

Chicago at Cleveland 1:00 p.m....Guess I'll go with the Bears in another battle of jobbers.

Miami at Buffalo 1:00 p.m....I'm hesitant on this, but I'll take Miami.

New England at Atlanta 1:00 p.m....Atlanta in a close one, should be a good game.

New Orleans at Green Bay 1:00 p.m...Surely the Packers have to beat SOMEONE?

Seattle at St. Louis 1:00 p.m....The Rams own Seattle.

Tampa Bay at N.Y. Jets 1:00 p.m....Bucs should run it to 5-0.

Tennessee at Houston 1:00 p.m....God I dunno, guess I'll take Houston since it's a home game.

Indianapolis at San Francisco 4:05 p.m....total asskicking for Indy.

Carolina at Arizona 4:15 p.m....In a mild upset I'll take the Cardinals, who can be tough at home.

Philadelphia at Dallas 4:15 p.m....Eagles in a tough one.

Washington at Denver 4:15 p.m...one unbeaten goes down, Denver in a possible beatdown.

Cincinnati at Jacksonville 8:30 p.m....Could go either way, but I think the Bengals can slip through and remain unbeaten.

Monday, Oct. 10

Pittsburgh at San Diego 9:00 p.m....San Diego is on a roll, they're at home, I'll take them.

My beloved Redskins perfect record is in serious jeopardy. Only way I see us winning is if Jake Plummer gets in one of his stupid days and makes some costly mistakes.

Still, our defense is good enough to keep us in games, it's our offense that worries me.

Great, we just have to beat the perpetual away team that might not have even seen any game film in the first couple of weeks to get our first win.

I'm still optimistic., believe it or not. 9-3 from here on is all we need!

That doesn't seem too bad if it was like last year's schedule. Unfortunately, as I've stated over and over, I dread the six weeks that we have to play Philly, Atlanta, Cincinatti, and Minnesota on the road, and Pittsburgh and Minnesota at home. That comes right after the bye week though, which is after this week's (hopefully) first win.

They REALLY need to start Grey Ruegamer in place of Will Whitticker, who I place all of the offensive line's problems on, seeing as how he's the one unproven rookie out of the bunch, and Ruegamer played just as well as any of the linemen did last year when he filled in for Flanagan, and he can play guard extremely well as he showed last night. Just having Ruegamer out there with Flanagan, Clifton, and Tauscher makes it just as good as last year's group, with one sore spot at one of the guard positions, which can be made up for by Klemm, Whitticker, or hell even Kevin "I'm only good for run blocking" Barry or backup-backup center Scott Wells.

Maybe they'll at least let Testaverde throw a little bit. Bollinger played as badly as he did mostly because he wasn't allowed to throw until the second half.

Also, it didn't help that the Jets' receivers kept dropping his damn passes.

"I dread the six weeks that we have to play Philly, Atlanta, Cincinatti, and Minnesota on the road, and Pittsburgh and Minnesota at home."

I think the Pack goes 1-5 during that stretch.  You're right.

Probably, but I expect something actually more along the lines of maybe 2-4, maybe getting a big upset win over a team that was really supposed to pound them, like Atlanta or Pittsburgh.

No way in hell they beat the Eagles though, especially at Philadelphia again (not like homefield advantage matters anymore).

This is so depressing. I hope the Patriots win another championship so everyone else can feel just as let down by this season as I do.

ROMULUS, Mich. -- Miami was awarded the 2010 Super Bowl on Thursday, a record 10th time the city will host the title game.

"We're very enthused and excited about having the opportunity to once again show off South Florida," Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga said. "We love our city and we love our area. We think the weather is the best. We think we have the best hotels, the best restaurants, the best beaches and the best golf courses."

Miami, Atlanta and Houston made a final pitch for the marquee event at an NFL owners meeting about 25 miles from Detroit's Ford Field, where the next Super Bowl will be played.

With New York, which had been conditionally awarded the game, out of the running, the NFL picked from three cities that lost a bid in May for the 2009 game, which went to Tampa.

The vote took three ballots, with Houston being eliminated on the first. No one got the three-quarters vote needed on the second ballot and Miami won by a simple majority on the third.

"Obviously, it was very close," said a disappointed Arthur Blank, the Falcons' owner.

Some regarded Atlanta and Houston as favorites because Miami already had been picked for the 2007 game, but Blank said South Florida's weather won out. The 2008 Super Bowl will be played in suburban Phoenix. That means after the game in Michigan this year, there will be three Super Bowls in Florida and one in Arizona.

"If you look at the last number of votes, it's very clear the ownership feels strongly about having the game where the weather is generally warmer," Blank said.

After 2010, Miami will top New Orleans' record of nine for hosting the most Super Bowl games. Three off the first five Super Bowls -- in 1968, 1969 and 1971 -- were in Miami and the last one there was in 1999.

When the NFL is not awarding a Super Bowl to a city with a new stadium, Huizenga expects Miami to have a good shot at landing the game.

"I think a lot of it is weather-driven," he said. "It's a nice environment for our sponsors to take their guests. If you're a sponsor and you're doing business globally, to bring your guests to South Florida is pretty nice."

Atlanta (1999 and 1994) and Houston (2004 and 1974) has each hosted the Super Bowl twice.

The 2010 Super Bowl originally was awarded to New York on the condition that a new stadium be built. The stadium, which also was part of the city's unsuccessful Olympic bid, failed to win government approval.

Last week, the New York Jets and Giants agreed to build a new stadium in New Jersey that could be opened by 2009. Both teams, as well as the NFL and New Jersey, would like a roof, but the teams have said the $200 million additional cost is beyond them. A roof would allow the Super Bowl and college basketball's Final Four to be played at the state-run Meadowlands complex.

------------------

They might as well just stay in Miami for good. I'm personally tired of seeing the same old city hosting the super bowl.

I'm tired of seeing mild-climate cities hosting Super Bowls. Without roofs.

I want snow in a Super Bowl, dammit.

I think the NFL's concern is that if you wound up with, say, a Dallas-Miami SB in a snow city (ex: Giants Stadium), that few of those team's fans would come, certainly far fewer than if it was in a warmer city.

Plus the sports media would bitch about it. A lot.

I personally am for it though
