I used to be a huge fan of the Von Erich family and it was a pleasure to see him on T.V. after all these years. I used to watch WCCW every afternoon on Espn from the Dallas sports auditorium. I cant believe this guy has made it after all these years after every loved one he had died.

I haven't watched the tape of last night yet, but Von Erich's appearance is something I'm looking forward to seeing. It's sad that many of my WCCW favorites (Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams, Rick Rude, Kerry Von Erich) have all passed away. Hopefully if the WWE does acquire the library from Kevin they utilize it well...there was so much classic stuff in World Class.

To me, Kevin Von Erich was always a very underrated star...he was the 2nd best of the Von Erich clan IMHO right after David.

One of my earlier wrestling memories was watching WCCW highlights of Michael Hayes dressed as Santa Claus sucker-punching Kevin on Christmas night in Dallas at Reunion Arena. My younger brother started bawling at the sight of Santa opening up a can of whoop-ass on Von Erich.

I would mark out to see a tape that consists of Chris Adams, Gino Hernandez, Tony Atlas, Jeff Gaylord, Ric Rude, the Freebirds and the Von Erichs. Those were the days when you could watch old school wrestling every day after school.

Meltz said Kevin was ticked when Kerry got the nod to beat Flair over him, since Kevin was the oldest now that David had died

That would explain why Kevin looked like he was burning a hole through Flair before the tag match. For those who recorded Raw, if you go back and re-watch the part where HHH throws Flair out onto the legends side of the ring, when he's choking Flair out with the sledgehammer, look in the background and you'll see Kevin with a big smile on his face.

Von Erich had 2 of my favorite moments in the show. The one I just mentioned and when he applied the Claw hold.

Kerry came to the WWF about 5 years too late when he was broken down. He was pushed for awhile as like the next Ultimate Warrior and I got that vibe with the tassels and the energy in the ring. He would have been a good upper card babyface in the mid to late 80's for the WWF if he was there.

Not to mention that Dave Meltzer said over on the WC message board that Kerry Von Erich was THE backup plan had they not gotten Hogan. Interesting tidbit.
