Would you purchase a new WWF Theme Music CD?

Recommended Posts

Not really a question of whether you'd buy one, since I know a ton of us just DL the songs a week before it comes out.

But rather, is there a need for a new WWE Theme Music CD? The last one that came out was horribly outdated, and had quite terrible tracks.

However, there's actually some new and/or popular songs that could be included, but is it too soon? A few months more, perhaps? Mania time?

I know some of this stuff can be DL'd, but its still tracks I'd like on CD:

- Batista's Saliva Theme

- Eddie's Current Theme

- New Mysterio Theme (Not "Bukake 619" or whatever its called, hopefully they'll release a remixed one)

- Masters

- MNM

- Rob Conway (!)

- Mr. Kennedy...Kennedy

- Randy Orton

Slap on a Cena track?

If there's not enough tracks, perhaps the WWE needs to get off their ass and put out another Anthology disc, and put these songs on the third disc, along with stuff like Benoit's theme, Triple H's theme, Raw theme, etc.

I found Ortons and Masters themes online, The orton one is CD quality and the full version of the song too (sounds great on my burned CD)

DO a google search and you may find them,

But yea, I'd buy a new cd, since I have bought all of them -even the last one-but at least it had the evolution theme on it - (cept for Agression and Orginals, and volume 2 or any of the older ones)

Id like eddies older heel remix of lie cheat and steal and his new one on it, and maybe his face lie cheat steal song.

Of the ones you mentioned...

Batista- Decent. I'm interested.

Eddie- Same thing

Rey- Not really

Masters- No Fucking Way.

MNM- Again, no fucking way. Their music is really bad

Rob Conway- borderline ok leaning towards no.

Kennedy- Hell no. The one thing Kennedy has working against him. Top 3 worse theme currently in WWE.

Randy Orton- Same as Kennedy, except he has THE worse theme in WWE IMO.

Cena track- No thanks, I like my hip hop to not suck. (and yes, Cena's hip hop sucks and no, not all hip hop sucks)

So with my standard of having at least half the songs on an album listenable, I'd say this is a no. I'll steal the themes I like.

I'd like to see a NWA/WCW theme CD released. Does WWE own all the non-Jimmy Hart songs? And now that Hart is on good terms, I'm sure WWE could acquire those as well.

Well, most of the themes were stock music.

They don't own The Midnight Express' theme, which is "The Chase" by Giorgio Moroder.

They don't own The Freebirds theme, Lynard Skynard's "Freebird".

They don't own Doom's original theme, or the newer one that would go on to be Ron Simmons' theme.

They don't own The Hollywood Blondes' theme.

They don't own Brian Pillman's singles theme from 1990-92.

They don't own Flair's theme.

They don't own the nWo theme.

They don't own Booker T's theme.

They don't own Lex Luger's 1990-92 theme or his 95-98 theme.

They don't own Sting's 1990-92 theme.

They don't own Chris Benoit's theme.

They don't own "American Made" Hogan theme.

They don't own Chris Jericho's face or heel themes.

They don't own La Parka's theme.

They don't own Dean Malenko's theme.

They don't own Steve McMichael or Hak's theme.

They don't own nWo Japan's theme.

They don't own Eddie Guerrero's first face theme.

They don't own Psychosis' theme.

They don't own Ultimo Dragon's initial heel or heel/face themes.

They don't own Bret Hart's initial theme, from the "Wrestling With Shadows" soundtrack.

They don't own Goldberg's theme from WCW.

They DO own Sting's "Crow" theme.

They DO own DDP's "Self High Five".

They DO own the Latino World Order theme.

They DO own Team Canada's theme.

They DO own Elix Skipper's "Primetime" ripoff.

NWA-TNA signed Johnny B. Badd and used a ripoff of his "Slam Jam" theme - "Here Comes Johnny B. Badd!". So either the WWE acquired the rights to the Slam Jam music (Steinerized, Man Called Sting, Mr. Bang Bang, Don't Step to Ron) etc. or the original band isn't selling. I do believe a WCW house band did all of those themes FOR WCW, though.

If WWE does another Anthology set...3 themes need to be on it.

I must have totally blocked out their heel theme, then. What was it?

It surprised me that Orton's wasn't on the last CD.

Kennedy- Hell no. The one thing Kennedy has working against him. Top 3 worse theme currently in WWE.

Nah.

The only ones I'd want from that list would be his and Eddie's.

Think Papa Shango's theme. It was similar to that.

So was Demo's heel music before the Axe and Smasher song, or when Crush was a main member due to Axe's health? I have been watching wrestling, and WWF/E in particular, from 1983-4 on, and I cannot remember this for the life of me!

If I remember correctly, the heel Demolition theme had a very dark brooding sound to it, with no lyrics. I believe the used it at Summerslam 91.

I believe Christian's theme was on Themaddict or however the hell WWE spelled it. Edge's theme is on Alter Bridge's album, One Day Remains. The song is called Metalingus. The chorus and verses arent in the same order though on the Alter Bridge album.

Also, whats with the Miss Jackie - Bukkake jokes? Did I miss something?

Demos used the derringer song when they were first heels, not sure if it was infact there fist theme but they used it as heels, the heel them you speak of is the one they started using when they were the 3 man heel team, but not sure when cuz at sumemrslam 90 they were still usign the derringer one.
