Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 How I Met Your Mother made the cut? Cool. This past episode was my first chance to see it and I thought it was hilarious. Doogie (sorry, but to me he'll always be Doogie) is great as the Devil's advocate. "What's Krav Maga?" "I don't know. I think it's some kind of yoga maybe." I like E-Ring, hope it gets picked up. Pissed about Kitchen Confidential though. I thought it was funny and had some potential due to a pretty strong ensemble cast.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I've been meaning to pick up a lot of these shows (How I Met Your Mother, and Everybody Hates Chris specifically), but I'm very happy Earl and Supernatural got a full-season order, Prison Break is screwed in Season 2, and I don't see why Fox would cancel Reunion, it seems to me like it's just a one-season miniseries kinda thing anyway, I thought that was their thing this season with Prison Break and Reunion. They'll probably find some way to continue the storyline, something that will no doubt make both shows do a shooting star press over the shark. Bones lost me when they played Howie Day. Twice. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I don't watch Prison Break, so I can't really comment, but does it need to go longer than 1 season? Should it take them more than 1 season to figure out how to break out?
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Man I'm glad How I Met Your Mother, Bones and House got picked up. I knew House would but I feared for Bones and HIMYM...

Should it take them more than 1 season to figure out how to break out? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Breaking out is only part of the equation. The next part is figuring out who did it (as in set him up to die). For those who don't get it yet, "Prison Break" is basically "The Fugitive if Kimble had help".

Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 13, 2005 House was picked up back in May <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes and House will likely stick around for as long as the producers want to. Isn't House one of fox's very few critical and ratings success?

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I actually got the Season 1 on DVD for House, so I knew it was sticking around for a while, but the show is just so good that I keep worrying Fox would eventually go, "Hey know what could make this better? Let's introduce a transvestite doctor!" or move it somewhere that would kill the show or whatever. I have very little faith in Fox after seeing how they handled their other shows... I missed most of season 1 and want to find out if that dvd set is worthy of the 40 dollar tag on it at the moment or should I just wait for it to go on mega sale? USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I bought it for 60 bucks. That's how much I like House. It's pretty good, 22 episodes plus some bonus materials. All the episodes are great, except for a couple that didn't appeal to me personally (pregnancy episode and baby episode). Either way, the quality won't change whether it is 60 dollars, 40 dollars or 20 dollars, so if you want to wait long to get the price slashed, by all means, go for it. I personally chose to possess this classic right away, bank account be damned.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Why the hell did you buy it for 60 bucks when it's generally $38-45 bucks? I got my DVD for $26 bucks.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Because I bought it on the day of its release at a criminally overpriced big movie store chain (Suncoast). Like I said, it was worth the buy, regardless of the price.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 YES!!! Criminal Minds and How I Met Your Mother got full season orders!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank God. I'm loving that show. Oh, and to finish up from the previous page, Alison LaPlaca is the female Ted McGinley, not Paula Marshall. I still haven't forgiven her for ruining The John Larroquette Show. UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I watched the premiere of that new show with Freddie Prinze Jr. and the dude from 90210 last night and I've got to say, I hope that's next to be cancelled.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I must confess though - I laughed when they did the dual Walkens...
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 That got a small chuckle out of me, but it seems like every actor on the planet does a Walken impression these days, so I'm kind of immune to it.

If anyone wants to send me Monday's episode (I can't use Bit Torrent), that'd be great. The airport episode was hilarious
Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Marc Berman said How I Met Your Mother might be getting the axe soon which worries me. I love that show and well....I want to know how he met their mother! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bob, I think their viewership comprises of you and me. The episode with the "airport pickup" storyline hooked me. First episode I watched of the show; I laughed until I was gagging. EDIT: Never mind, I just noticed the love it's getting on Page 2. Sweet. I'll torrent the current episode if you can get me the the airport episode.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 What's sad is that I'm watching the second episode of Sex, Love, & Secrets and it's not too bad. It's quirky, and the lack of that is what causes me to dislike The O.C.
