mike546 Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Thank you god. Isiah myst be thanking god to, the only reason he didn't release Houston because he thought he'd retire.
CanadianChris Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Does this mean the Knicks might finally have...*gasp*...CAP SPACE?!?
Guest Fishyswa Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Yeah he was a money vacuum, but I'm still gonna think of him as the guy who quietly would score 28 during our tough losses. Shame.
Black Lushus Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 I'm glad to see him go because of the money issues, but damn was he good there for awhile...things could have been different for NY the past few seasons if not for his problems...

EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Shame to see his career end like this. Houston was a pretty good player in his prime, but all anyone remembers is his huge contract.

Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Press conference is on NBATV right now.
starvenger Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Does this mean the Knicks might finally have...*gasp*...CAP SPACE?!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't retired players' salaries remain on the team's books? I seem to remember the Raptors being saddled with Olajuwon and Mourning's salaries...
alfdogg Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Some kind of insurance pays a sizeable chunk of Houston's contract since he retired. Which is the reason he wasn't released with the amnesty clause.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Bad knees and a large bank account. Peace out...
