Are they really calling it One Night Stand II? Does no one in this company realize that it doesn't make any sense?

Regarding the WrestleMania DVD's and Jesse Ventura's commentary (from Meltzer):

"I don't know, but I would presume no Ventura commentary on the Mania DVD's. Ventura's commentary will stay on 24/7 projects, but because of his lawsuit that he won years ago, he'd get a percentage of any tapes or DVD's with his commentary and they'd rather erase his voice than pay him that percentage."

Ouch for whoever preordered it already.

As for ONS II this summer, I don't know why they just don't use one of the ol ECW ppv names like Heatwave, Guilty as Charged, ect. Of course w/ Vincy's logic, he'd call it November to Remember.

Speaking of ONS II, it's reported to be taking place at the old ECW arena in Philly.

Just for everyone's info, according to a WON from last year, John Cena and The Undertaker are excluded from the dress code due to the nature of their gimmicks.

And good luck doing another ECW PPV, since they effectively pissed off and/or fired a bunch of their workers who were in ECW right after the first one.

Imagine another ECW PPV without Sabu, The Dudleys, or Rhino. That's the half the main event and one match from the first PPV gone.

And according to The Blue Meanie, WWE quit returning his phone calls and have avoided him since after the Great American Bash, so he's a tad ticked off with them too.

They'd be better off not tarnishing the legacy of the original One Night Stand and just going back to Bad Blood.

In the grand scheme of things, the respect people have for 'sports entertainers' is pretty limited to begin with.

That's because the people have an out-dated view of sports entertainers, you see. That's their fault. And the medias. I truly feel sorry for the WWE. They have to fight this uphill battle to try and change the perception of their organization and their sports entertainers, and in reality, they have to fight against decades of fashoin faux pas.

They should worry about fighting against the crap they force us upon us like Orton burining Taker's casket. I mean, anyone who has 24/7 can see Kane do it to him at the Rumble in '98. At least be subtle with the biting and it still won't help Orton gain more heel heat.

Is there any chance whatsoever of RVD/Lynn? I know RVD said he wanted that as the main event of the next one. If that was possible, it would make up for those guys and then some. What's Lynn doing now?

According to Meltzer, who reported it...

--- One writing staff member claims Steaphanie buried Ross many times in the past few years. Stephanie referred to Johnny Ace, who she is tight with, as a head of talent relations who works with the creative and not against it.

--- Some members of the writing staff believe Stephanie was behind the move, insisting that since Ross moved back to Oklahoma and cut back on his announcing duties that he should be removed from the air because he had bigger priorities than WWE.

--- Others noted that if Rock and Austin were stil lthe stars, this would have never happened.

--- Meltz says a company person, who is not a fan of Ross, feels bad about the situation. This source also blames Steph and HHH. Supposedly, HHH had issues with Ross from a few years back over pay and when Ross was Vince's hatchet man/ head of talent relations, Ross was instructed to play hardball in negotiations with Trips. When Trips went to Vince, he played babyface and put the blame on Ross. HHH had also complained about the old talent relations dept. being knee-deep in Ross loyalists. When Trips was out with the quad injury, HHH would ask people what Ross was saying about him.

--- When Trips busted JR open and blurred his vision in one eye in the MSG match, many believe this was Trips roughing up Ross and this move only confirms those suspicions.

--- HHH was upset wih Ross because he was pushing for HHH and Flair to turn babyface because more than 50% of the crowds were cheering for a heel Trips and no one wants to boo Flair. Trips felt Ross was trying to control his career direction because he and Flair wanted to remain heels.

...and the Torch...

- The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Triple H is not a backer of Jim Ross backstage. It all goes back to what happened years ago, when Jim Ross was playing hardball with Triple H when working out a new contract. Triple H felt that Ross was treating him as a second-tier talent, rather than the main eventer he is. Years later, when HHH expressed his frustration with that, Vince told Hunter that he should have just came to him to talk about it. Which is interesting because it was Vince's very own orders that JR was carrying out at the time.

Some feel that one other thing that has been working against Ross, aside from stepping down from his full-time position at WWE headquarters, is how vocal he has been against the current direction of the company. Especially with Stephanie McMahon, when it comes to "sports" versus "entertainment", and which one should come before the other.

See a difference? Me neither.

People always talk about how Vince can put aside little (or big) bullshit when he sees dollar signs...so he must not see much cash in Kid Kash(get it) if he's willing to can his ass over the dress code...not that Vince even knows who the hell Kid Kash is other than "that little guy who doesn't play ball"....I hope that TNA can pull off something extraordinary because with these mental giants are too concerned with half blind Oklahomans and 5:00 am airport trips for their future jobbers to put anything decent on TV....I can't wait for Heyman's contract to expire...anybody have an exact date on that?

Pretty sure JR bladed, I don't think Triple H was maiming him for pleasure.

Isn't Blue Meanie still under contract? Does he have a choice in the matter?

Good God, what the hell is wrong with Triple H?

Is he really so paranoid that he feels he must destroy anyone who has an opinion different to his? Personally, I was sick of JR on commentary but for it happen to guy like this is just wrong.

And as for Kid Kash, the guys was in an airport at 5am! As has been said before, kayfabe is dead to begin with and who the fuck is likely to see him in an airport so early in the morning?

It's funny that Foley is excluded from this dress code thing when he's a guy who should be dressing better. The guys is probably worth millions and he dresses like a bum, the cheap bastard.

Honestly, this company is totally fucked-up.

Having said that, though, I couldn't agree more.  Nothing was funnier than Austin storming the ring in his denim shorts and fanny pack, looking to kick ass but looking more like a guy that can't find his daughters at 6 Flags.

At least it didn't look as ridiculous as HBK, Kurt Angle, Batista, and HHH kicking each others' asses several months ago on Raw while wearing slacks and suits on the show.

See, the wrestlers fighting while wearing suits reminds me of the oldschool NWA, when the Horsemen would attack people while still dressed in suits. Tully would undoubtedly take off his dress shoe to use as a weapon, which always cracked me up. I have no issue with them fighting in suits.

It makes perfect sense to go back to the ONS name.

You wanna explain this to me because I'm not seeing it. If it's a "One Night Stand" then there wouldn't be more than one of them. It'd be a Two Night Stand or Once A Year One Night Stand.

It is indeed possible to have two one night stands.

It is possible... but then it wouldn't be a one night stand. It doesn't surprise me though. I mean, WCW had how many World War III's?

well, World Wars stretch over the course of several years...okay, I got nothing better than that...

I get myself into the worst arguments. Seriously, I don't think any of us care, we're just grasping for some sort of content. Heh.

One night stands, if you're talking about, like, relationships, then you can certainly have more than one. So, I can see where Porter is coming from.
