Downhome Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Not I, it looks like one big pile of shit. And the reviews are finally coming in at RT, with 29% and 20%. The trailers look horrible, just horrible, so I doubt that it's anything I even would consider "good" bad. Most of the good reviews are from the "geek" crowd, saying that it's a pretty good film version of a video game, and that may be true, but that doesn't mean it's a good movie. I can't be the only one who hates the trailers as much as I do.

There is literally zero reason why Vin Diesel should draw 100 million in some stuff while the Rock can't. I assume the wrestling aspect is a drawback.

That short clip they aired on USA after RAW, while I didn't think it was "good", it did make me laugh my ass off. Seeing that monster grab that one guy, and bang him into all of those walls, it was like a really bad SNL skit or something.

I think he would have done well in the role and could have given him a big jump with the action genre.

Happy B-day, btw... I'd go for a cop/crime lord movie with Chan as the cop and Jet Li as the crime lord...actually, the other way around may be better, but I don't see Chan playing a heel...

And last weekend unleashed the horrible FOG so that is a to be avoided. I'm a little bit ticked that Serenity is already out of theaters cause I was going to double dip.

Of course, the script was changed to make it more martial arts when Rock had to turn it down and Jet Li took over.

This probably won't be the best movie I see this month or this year, for that matter but dammit, I'm going to enjoy myself. I'm one of those geeks that will give it a favorable review because I love Doom and/or the Rock.
