cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Chave! allow me to explain a bit about OVW of late. Since Heyman took over there has been a big increase in backstage interviews and skits with Maria interviewing Jeter, Kennedy, Cappotelli, etc. This week they introduced an annoying new backstage guy doing interviews (this guy was the announcer at an OVW house show I just went to actually). It makes for involving TV but I can see why people in the Davis Arena would be annoyed after a point. Under Cornette most of the interviews and stuff were in front of the crowd at the desk or in the ring.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Of all the people to piss off, Striker pisses off Bradshaw, Holly, Eddie and Benoit. Nice. Holly would probably kicks Striker's ass. But at least Bradshaw would be there to lather it afterwards. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you look in the wrong direction backstage then you piss of JBL and Holly. The Buzz 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Holly and Bradshaw are gonna threaten/bully the wrong guy one day and get the shit kicked out them. Wait...Holly's already gotten a broken neck doing that.

Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted November 7, 2005 It's borderline hilarious that Stephanie and Gerwitz think that Paul Heyman is doing a terrible job booking OVW. 1) Because Heyman has not only filled Jim Cornette's shoes, but drawn better weekly crowds than OVW ever has, and 2) because it has been established a few times in the past that Stephanie McMahon doesn't even watch Heat and Velocity, much less follow any of the storylines in OVW. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 cabbageboy, I agree. I have watched OVW TV since June and while the feuds are much more heated, the backstage skits have increased tenfold from Cornette. It makes good TV, but perhaps not the best wrestling TV. Adam 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Test is really juiced up and looked bigger than Scott Steiner on a recent tour I can attest to this. He's more orange than Hogan, and has veins sticking out everywhere. Its incredible.

Although the older Cornette stuff I saw, the crowd had a tendency to shit on interview segments. But definately not what you want from a small show. Having said that, I'd still go see them for free. The in-ring action seems to have picked up a bit.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Hardcore Holly heard them and told him he had 24 hours to learn how to fight, then Holly was gonna take him on. Eddy tried to let him know to cool it, but he blew him off, which pissed Eddy off. When Beniot found out Eddy was dissed by the newbie, he tossed Striker's bags out of the locker room and told him to dress elsewhere. Awesome.

Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Would that be before or after he raped Stryker in the ass? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wrong Str(i/y)ker. Matt Stryker on the left (indies), Matt Striker on the right (WWE).
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 If JBL did the same thing, I doubt many of you would have the same reaction. Difference is JBL would have a legitimate reason for doing so instead of just picking random newcomer and molesting him. Edit: No wonder Matt is on RAW. Guest Arnold_OldSchool Report post Posted November 8, 2005 As noted here on the website last week, Matt Striker has received some heat after openly telling some of the road agents that the RAW locker-room was better than SmackDown's. When word got back to Chris Benoit, JBL, and Hardcore Holly, the trio was said to be upset. He was thrown out of the SmackDown! locker-room several weeks ago while there for a dark match. There is also a feeling on the RAW side that he is pushing his limits while trying to script his matches. Many feel he is a young newcomer and should just 'shutup and do what is asked of him'. It was also noted that JBL recently invited him out after a taping to grab a few drinks to try and 'get-to-know' him a little better and Striker refused the offer. This obviously didn't sit well with JBL. Striker was seen last week at RAW hanging out with the indy guys as well as the WWE.com crew.
