Not a bad choice. I personally thought Derrick Lee had the most impressive numbers, but he was never going to get the support needed because of how horrible the Cubs were this year.

 

Just think, had Bonds not been around, we could conceviably be calling this Pujols 5th consecutive MVP award. Chew on that for a moment.

It's a good system because it prevents the same kind of screwy results the gold glove award voting provides. It prevents a third candidate from slipping in just because the top two might have come from the same market.

I know the Braves got the playoffs and the Cubs didn't, but Jones in second is bullshit. You take out Lee and the Cubs are probably looking up at the Reds.
