Remembering Eddie Guerrero

Be sure to watch SmackDown Friday night on UPN as the Superstars of WWE remember Eddie Guerrero.

This has been an unbelievable week. Eddie's death has hit me more close than Owen's death. It's just now sitting in that he's gone and we'll never see him again (except through tapes and video footage). WWE has stayed the course with this all week handled it to the best of their abilities. I haven't read the spoilers, but I know Chavo and Benoit will be on the show tonight. Check out Eddie Guerrero's superstar page and get your tape recorders ready for part two tonight.

Chavo vs. JBL is a very good match. The finishing sequence is very well done. I don't remember Chavo being that big, though.

I was a fan of the end of the cruiser battle royal.

 

Also, in the beginning of the battle royal, and just before it begins as well, watch Spanky and London. Those two are just the biggest dorks. It made me smile.

Unfortunately, it seems for the first time since the move to Friday it gets pre-empted in the Philly market for Saturday at 4.

For y'all that saw Smackdown! already...there is a Cruiserweight battle royal. Did Juvy come to the ring wearing the title?

So the first hour of Smackdown are matches and the second hour of matches are Eddie matches right?

There were highlights of some of Eddie's matches (vs. Angle), but it was mostly SD matches.

Chavo/JBL was very good, as Rudo said. The Chair spot got the biggest pop of the night.

I like how intricate Chavos cheating was. It was the useless RVD flare spot of cheating.

 

Step 1: Take two chairs

Step 2: Throw one chair in the ring for the ref to pick up

Step 3: Throw the other chair at opponent for opponent to catch

Step 4: Lay down and act like you got it by a chair

Step 5: Ref throws out first chair, returns to see Opponent with chair in hand, takes chair from opponent while Opponent tries to tell the ref he's innocent

Step 6: Ref turns his back to return chair, Opponent turns back to action.

Step 7: Low blow opponent while Refs back is turned.

Hm. I have no idea what you mean by this? I'm pretty slow today.

Well, RVD did a springboard moonsault to pick up a chair just to throw it at someone. The flare thing is an office space reference. I guess I should have spelled it "Flair" but then that would have created a whole new mess of confusion.

 

Sigh.
