CBright7831 Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Remembering Eddie Guerrero November 18, 2005 Be sure to watch SmackDown Friday night on UPN as the Superstars of WWE remember Eddie Guerrero. This has been an unbelievable week. Eddie's death has hit me more close than Owen's death. It's just now sitting in that he's gone and we'll never see him again (except through tapes and video footage). WWE has stayed the course with this all week handled it to the best of their abilities. I haven't read the spoilers, but I know Chavo and Benoit will be on the show tonight. Check out Eddie Guerrero's superstar page and get your tape recorders ready for part two tonight.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Chavo vs. JBL is a very good match. The finishing sequence is very well done. I don't remember Chavo being that big, though.
CanadianChick Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 I was a fan of the end of the cruiser battle royal. Also, in the beginning of the battle royal, and just before it begins as well, watch Spanky and London. Those two are just the biggest dorks. It made me smile.
ChrisMWaters Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Unfortunately, it seems for the first time since the move to Friday it gets pre-empted in the Philly market for Saturday at 4.
Guest Leelee Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 I'm assuming SD is on Thursdays in Canadia... or, I'm very confused.
CanadianChick Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Yeah, we're special. It's on the Score on Thursdays. Being a Canadian rules.
krease Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Now that was something I thought I'd never see at the end of a HHH/Benoit match...
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 For y'all that saw Smackdown! already...there is a Cruiserweight battle royal. Did Juvy come to the ring wearing the title?
Scroby Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 So the first hour of Smackdown are matches and the second hour of matches are Eddie matches right?
Guest BrokenWings Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 There were highlights of some of Eddie's matches (vs. Angle), but it was mostly SD matches.
Guest AndrewisyourHero Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Chavo/JBL was very good, as Rudo said. The Chair spot got the biggest pop of the night.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 I like how intricate Chavos cheating was. It was the useless RVD flare spot of cheating. Step 1: Take two chairs Step 2: Throw one chair in the ring for the ref to pick up Step 3: Throw the other chair at opponent for opponent to catch Step 4: Lay down and act like you got it by a chair Step 5: Ref throws out first chair, returns to see Opponent with chair in hand, takes chair from opponent while Opponent tries to tell the ref he's innocent Step 6: Ref turns his back to return chair, Opponent turns back to action. Step 7: Low blow opponent while Refs back is turned.
CanadianChick Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 It was the useless RVD flare spot of cheating. Hm. I have no idea what you mean by this? I'm pretty slow today.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Well, RVD did a springboard moonsault to pick up a chair just to throw it at someone. The flare thing is an office space reference. I guess I should have spelled it "Flair" but then that would have created a whole new mess of confusion. Sigh. ...it was convoluted.
CanadianChick Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 When did he do that? Because I need to see it. That's just awesome. "Hi, pointless? Yeah, my name is Rob. I think you'll be GREAT for this one move I'm planning on doing..."
Guest Human Highlight Reel Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 I marked out so hard for Chavo's cheating and the frogsplash. Seeing Malenko and Benoit was...wow.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Here Without You Video was 1000x better than the Johnny Cash one from RAW..
Slickster Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Here Without You Video was 1000x better than the Johnny Cash one from RAW.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe because it was made with more than 8 hours notice?
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 vs. Jerry Lynn, Hardcore Heaven 2000. I think.
RedJed Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Here Without You Video was 1000x better than the Johnny Cash one from RAW.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And much more emotional to sit through....I'm pretty choked up right now.
Guest JMA Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 It's good to see Cole and Tazz mentioning Eddie's rich history.
Guest Andrew J. Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Did Carlito just do a Lungblower?
Guest Duke_The_Dog Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Random observations: Sign in crowd (for Hardy): "I will not Die!!" Hardy is following in Eddy's footsteps as jacked up short guy looking for a push. Carlito has lost his baby belly fat.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Here Without You Video was 1000x better than the Johnny Cash one from RAW.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe because it was made with more than 8 hours notice? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well not only that, but the song is a much better fit too. Plus, I like 3 Doors Down..so..
Guest Duke_The_Dog Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 The Here Without You Video was 1000x better than the Johnny Cash one from RAW.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And much more emotional to sit through....I'm pretty choked up right now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I dream about you all the time I'm here without you baby But you're still with me in my dreams And tonight girl its only you and me
daileyxplanet Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Yes, Carlito did. And anyone else miss half of the Batista interview thanks to UPN messups? EDIT: Johnny Cash will ALWAYS be better thank Three Doors Down.

Guest JMA Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 I'm wondering what happens to Nick Nemeth now.
