If they refuse (perhaps on the grounds that you aren't the original purchaser, which they mighty discover if it was registered to a previous owner), or you don't want to go that route--how did you pay? If it's PayPal they have buyer protection policies that should get you a refund back on it. It's a DOA system, after all.

But let's see--a horizontal and vertical strike (called "light" and "heavy" here, but they still are H and V...), a block, jump, and throw button, using right analog to roll, context-sensitive button commands for counters and interacting with objects (at the very least), orbs collected from defeated enemies (green to restore energy, red ones for upgrading abilities). Oh, and a zoomed-out, uncontrollable 3rd person view. Feels sluggish compared to the real deal, though.

Of course I have been Ninja Gaiden recently so I guess that would account for that. It definately feels sluggish though, but can be kinda fun.

I received the Xbox 360. I hooked it up, and attempted to play Halo. It got to the title screen, and then locked up. I rebooted the system, and was able to play for a period of time. When I was attempting to set up Live, the screen went black with no response. I rebooted and tried again only for it to go black again. This happened several times until finally, instead of going black, the screen was checkered. I waited a period of time, and restarted the console...this time I received the "red ring of death", which indicates a hardware failure. Now it gets a bit weirder. I waited a few hours more, and tried it again...this time it completely allowed me to boot. I was able to play a game for a period of time, before it froze. I waited a little longer, tried again, and since the 360 has been running flawlessly. I am baffled by this, but I have a feeling it won't last. I've downloaded updates, tried different games. Please give imput." Like I said, I am BAFFLED, because since late last night, but Xbox has run 100% flawlessly. I have a feeling that it's just being kind before it dies off, but a part of me is hoping. I DID turn the Xbox on it's side standing up after a suggestion from a friend, and since then it's worked good. So...I really don't know. I DO know I'm getting really fucking attached to this goddamn machine though. It's so AWESOME.

Most stores have been out of stock for 3 weeks now. Apparently the HD's aren't working fully and stop people from playing games such as Blue Dragon and Halo3.

If I want to take that name online and play Gears (the only game he currently has) do I have to buy my own XBLG subscription??

What video codecs can I actually play? It seems like I have more options when I use the Media Center Extender functionality, as opposed to just streaming video using Windows Media Player's sharing option. It looks like AVI's (divx) are out. Can I only do .WMV? Edit: Got answers to my question. Only .wmv, .mp4, .m4v, .mov, amd mpeg2 through media center extender. DivX is NOT supported.
