razazteca Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Big Four PPV? I thought this idea died out quite a while ago, since WWE runs like, what? 16 PPVs a year now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, and only four of them are dual brand. Well, 5 if you count the ECW PPV, but that's something totally different. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of the 4 dual brand only 2 are worth money: Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.
SuperJerk Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Just saw a local ad for New Year's Revolution (being held in Albany, NY) during Impact and it gives away the Main Event for the show. The ad has shots of the Elimination Chamber with images of Cena, Shawn Michaels, Carlito, Big Show, Kane, and HHH spliced in. So that looks to be the ME of the show. Now I just saw this and don't remember any shots of Angle. Could be wrong, but it doesn't look like he will be in the match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd be willing to bet the words "card subject to change" appear somewhere in the ad.
NoCalMike Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Carlito, Kane, & Big Show negate being a part of this negate any positives the Elimination Chamber match can bring.
gWIL Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 WWE New Year's Revolution Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship John Cena vs Shawn Michaels vs Carlito vs Big Show vs Kane vs HHH Eddie Guerrero Tribute Match for the #1 Contendership Kurt Angle vs Chavo Guerrero IC Championship Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan (they sem to do whatever they can to boost Raw PPV numbers) Shelton Benjamin vs Rob Van Dam Street Fight for the Women's Championship Trish Stratus vs Victoria Give each match a lot of time and that card looks okay to me. add something in with Helms and/or Tag Team Championship.

cabbageboy Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 What is Edge doing on that show? Is he hurt for a long time or something? He needs to just cash in his Money in the Bank so he can job and be depushed quietly. Is RVD even going to be back for that PPV? I thought his return was targeted for the Rumble? Flair/Hogan for the IC title is depressing on numerous levels. I hope that doesn't happen.

Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 "Eddie Guerrero Tribute Match" for the #1 Contendership Kurt Angle vs Chavo Guerrero <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In January?
cabbageboy Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I know that card isn't real, but I'm just trying to understand the logic behind it.
hyperchord24 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I don't buy Cena surviving the elimination chamber
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 If Hunter doesn't successfully lobby to get the belt, they are giving it back to Cena.

Survivor Series is hit or miss mostly.
Promoter Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 If Hunter doesn't successfully lobby to get the belt, they are giving it back to Cena. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cena lost the belt? Okay, with that rumoured main event how can things go down for Mania? If Angle doesn't win the strap on a RAW or something it doesn't really make sense for Cena to drop the title at NYR imo. Who would he lose the title to? HBK maybe if they want him to carry the strap into Mania in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the "#1 match" in Mania history. HHH winning the belt and heading into Mania is PLAYED OUT. That won't help anything. The other guys don't deserve to wear the damn belt at this stage. Cena has to retain pissing off even more people. Cena will be heel soon enough I think. The only thing stopping them from turning him heel is merchandise sales imo.
hyperchord24 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 He's already stale, he may as well be a heel as far as merchandise sales are concerned. Heels can't sell that much merchandise can they? With marks getting sick of cena, his sales must be dropping.
Promoter Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I agree, but we see how stubborn they are. What I'm afraid of is "hood Vince" siding with Cena which will kill him dead. It seems Vince wants to latch onto Cena's familiarity with hip hop with that promo last night(I didn't even watch Series). Even back in the day Vince wanted to be seen as hip with his horrible songs on the wrestling albums. Where's Jericho when you need to him to show that footage
