WWE Wants Shelton Benjamin's "Mama"

You know if Vince really wants to go back in time for stereotypes he can have Shelton act like he's JJ from Good Times. Shelton can wear 70s clothes with those Gilligan style hats Walker would always wear. He can always put the word dynomite in his promos even if he doesn't make any sense. "After I get done with you HBK you will think your God was made of *claps hands* DYN-O-MITE". And after a win Shelton would yell to break out the Kool Aid.

And they can bring in John Amos to play the dad. He would threaten Shelton if he doesn't win a match and when Shelton loses John would take off his belt and whip Shelton.

He can do the "dozens" while he's cutting a promo.

Does Shelton's Mama eventually get to win the Tag Titles with Rick Steiner? If he's not available, I'm sure Eugene will be a suitable replacement. And what about the possibility of a "Shelton's Mama on a Pole" match?

Seriously... Fuck WWE

Like you, HHH, would watch the Chappelle show. We all know that Shane is the gangsta in that family. You need to stop stealing Shanes ideas and holding Shane down. He went to all that hard work to put Test over, and you took all of Tests heat and left him out in the cold. Some things never change.

But you'll be out of date in less than a month.

"WWE has put out a casting call yesterday through casting websites looking for a character to play, as they put it, "SHELTON BENJAMIN'S MAMA / Co-Star / Female / African Am / 50-60 Shelton Benjamin's Mama - 50's, Black, heavy set, good personality, willing to travel." They say that the character will be used three to six months, with pay "to be determined". They noted that "This woman will travel all over the country/world to perform for the "Raw" shows. -PWInsider.com"

Exactly what is offensive in this blurb? Everyone knows here that Shelton cannot project his personality worth a damn. This actress - not a bimbo, not a diva - is being hired to speak for him, leaving him to deal with what he IS good at - ringwork. What is so objectionable? Where does it say that she'll be made into a stereotypical character?

his "mama" is a sterotypical character which will, in turn add a certain amount of stereotyping to HIS character...heaven forbid they simply market him as a former college wrestling standout with great prowrestling ability that is hungry for the title...

How do you know for sure that his mama will be portrayed in a stereotypical way? As to Shelton being "a former college wrestling standout with great prowrestling ability that is hungry for the title" you know that that is not considered enough in the WWE. You can not like it and complain about it, but that's how Vince, Steph and others see things.

You know he'll get a stereotype fat black woman who yells at him and makes him look like a complete moron. Hopefully this will end up with Shelton being a main eventer. Not going to happen, but I can dream. Btw, why is Triple H banned? I liked his gimmick.

Maybe if he dyes himself white they could see to do that.

I'm still trying to figure out how Shelton was suppose to be a Dave Chappelle character. As in he'd be parodies of everyone, or just steal the one liners?

"Hey, Shawn! What does 5 fingers say to the face?"

*SLAP!*

*Superkick!*

(Later on.)

HBK: "Oh man, did that superkick hurt alot Shelton?"

"YEAH!"

"Um, okay then. How are you feeling?"

"OKAY!"

"Erm, we have a tag match later on..."

"WHAT?!?"

And so on and so on. Man, that would have been a disastor. Poor Shelton.

Dude, seriously, considering I have a lot of 50+ something black, heavy set, good personality women in my family, I think i can safely say that this woman will be stereotyped a certain way...what do you think she's going to do, just stand there and cheer him on?
